Just in time for the new VED system.
Which "new VED system" would that be, then?

There a tons of free apps which let you add mot's, tax etc so you get a notification just before anything expires on googleplay. Probably the same for applestore.

If you're using a smartphone, why on earth do you need anything more than the calendar that's already in it?

Because you want to clutter your screen with more apps!!

I'm with you, this is a solution for a problem that really shouldn't exist. I do wonder how people get by with life in general if they need to pay for someone else to put one annual reminder in their diary.

One? Having a quick look at the site it seems for £10 a year you can get text reminders for tax, MOT and servicing for up to 5 vehicles. Quite handy for a family with multiple vehicles or even a small business.

Yes, people should probably be organised enough to diarise this stuff themselves, but there are enough tales of woe on this board alone over DVLA fines and missed MOT's to see that that is not the case.

Not a scam, no attempt to misrepresent themselves as an official website and might be useful for some people.

I bet the people who come on here for advice after they've been caught without tax and are facing a huge fine, would have preferred to pay £10 for the reminder...

All you need to do is keep all your vehicle information in folders, get all the information out and input into a phone diary, it will tell you. Input it two days before the actual due dates and you have a 48 hour warning on your phone, or if you have more money than sense your iwatch.

A reminder they could easily have had for free, if only they'd bothered instead of relying on somebody else.

I use a desk calender at home, don't rely on reminders, also includes other dates such as birthdays and appointments.

The calender cost about £5 and covers as I mentioned above.

I applaud the business behind it. What surprises me is that people are prepared to look up all the necessary details for their vehicles and pay to enter them into the site/app, but having done all the work to get all the details wouldn't just enter them onto a calendar (with advance notifications) for nothing!
