We have a joint Tesco account and 1 individual each, can we open a 4th account? As we have a joint account technically we both have 2 accounts?
Thanks0 -

I very much doubt it.
I applied Tuesday evening and received a text the following evening confirming approval. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

Below this are two radio buttons, neither of which are ticked.
It's difficult to see how it could be misinterpreted?
I agree, I had no difficulty.
However it's clearly a pedant's delight - there's always someone who can find fault, even if it's to their own detriment. The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

No, I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to open another account with them.
As far as Tesco are concerned you already have two accounts each with them. (I know this because I asked them, as I was considering a joint account for husband and self and realised that it was more beneficial for us to have two separate accounts in order to get the maximum interest payable.)A cunning plan, Baldrick? Whatever it was, it's got to be better than pretending to be mad; after all, who'd notice another mad person around here?.......Edmund Blackadder.0 -

You can't have 3 sole & one joint though, that would be seen as one person having more than 2. However you can both have 1 sole & 1 joint.0 -
Check with their CS (24hr). They say you can (this morning) clarified with confirming that totals 4 getting the 3%.

But unless you are suggesting each person opens a joint account with someone else rather then each other then that is still only 3 accounts between the 2:
Person A: sole account 1
Person B: sole account 2
Person A and B: joint account 30 -

Don't see why you should be penalized for having a joint account, I will see what they say. Sometimes you can do another joint account with the names switched round so the primary becomes the secondary?0 -

Phoned Tesco tonight and have taken my wife off the joint account so she can open a 2nd account, that's the only way round it. At least you can do it. Quite a wait to get through though!0 -

I took it she meant two joint accounts with different account numbers would do the trick... and hardly unique.
Person A: sole account 1
Person B: sole account 2
Person A and B: joint account 3 opened by A
Person B and A: joint account 4 opened by B
= 2 accounts each.0
