Now AndyPix appears to be out of the picture (- no pun intended), can ANYONE else help with advice, information and suggestions on how to complete an application form (and other such documents) that has been produced in Microsoft Word/Office, when your pc only has Libre Office? (- that is, WITHOUT having to buy further software or programmes, because I can't afford to do that, too.)
Do these application forms have macros in them?
If not, I would have thought that Libre Office should be able to open and edit most Word documents, albeit with possible formatting issues.

Open up a Microsoft OneDrive account, stick your files on there. You can edit them online in a stripped down but free version of Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

P0123 you could maybe try Kingsoft WPS. It is a free download and we have found it to have better compatibility with MS Office than LibreOffice

I would imagine that sharing Microsoft licence keys via private message is enough for a member to be given restricted access to the forums. I suspect that someone reported him - and no it was NOT me!

    Hi "psychic teabag"

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I have tried saving everything to pdf before, but for some reason, when I save something in LibreOffice I don't always get given the option to save under an alternative stem, let alone pdf, I'm afraid.

On my (linux) libreoffice, writing pdf seems to be an "export" rather than a "save as" option. Further down the file menu, it offers export... and export as pdf. I guess the difference is that save-as should give a document with all info preserved, so that you can reload it and carry on editing. But writing to pdf or html or something is a one-way trip - it doesn't preserve enough info in an editable state. So you should save it in a document format in addition to exporting it to a presentation format.
