Again, we're not mindreaders, we don't know what you think is worth mentioning, nor do you know what the OP thinks is worth mentioning. In any case, it's pretty clear you were simply unaware of the shorter connection and are now trying to cook up an excuse for it.

Nope, it was simply disregarded along with other things such as uncomfortable trips on some Chinese airlines.

Sure, whatever you say. Maybe you should add a list of the things you "disregard" in your sig? By my count it now includes Chinese airlines, Oman Air, Air France, Royal Jordanian, Turkish Airlines and connection below 1h41m :)

I'm sure you could find many more posts emphasising just how quickly you can transit in Doha. Have you ever been there?

No need, there's wide discussion that can help OPs.

    Btw your assumptions are wrong.

They probably don't fly from Edinburgh, but our best flight (comfort/cost ratio) has been Korean Air.
From LHR to Auckland it's pretty much the shortest flight (24 hours) and coming back it's one of the longest (42 hours) but you land in Seoul at 6pm, they put you up in the Grand Hyatt and the return flight is at 1pm the following day. The hotel is very luxurious and the perfect way of returning home.
We went Christmas 2015 and flights were £800 each. We booked last night for Christmas 2017 and they were £1035.
We've done this route 3 times and Korean Air were fab. They were great with the kids (from 3 months old), food was good if you chose local, and as comfy as any long haul economy.

Exceptional value for money, but perhaps their safety record explains this.
  • £1,408 return in business class.

    That's a decent target fare!
