Even though Monday was a Bank holiday this week seems to have been really long. I am glad its Friday !
Sunny today but very windy, I have got washing out on the line well pegged down to stop it flying off into the neighbours garden
I am just having a cuppa and then I am going to do some batch cooking.
I have just found my Grow Wild seeds that came free from Kew last year from an offer on this site. :money: They are English wildflower seeds and I am going to sprinkle them just in front of the new fence where the grass has been dug up, should be a nice bit of colour now that the bluebells have finished flowering.
Last year I bought a plant pot of london pride for £1 at a car boot. I put it in my raised bed and its growing and flowering really well. In with it I noticed some blue flowers and it seems to be forget-me-nots, so I got 2 for the price of 1.
I am hoping to turn the raised bed into an alpine / rockery type garden when I have some money to buy plants. I need to get some membrane then the purple slate can go back down. Apart from the London pride and forget-me-nots there is just a few lavender plants and a patch of campanula. The local car boots start again next month so I will try and get some more bargains then. It would be nice to have something pretty but low maintenance0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Well done on all of these great ideas for the garden. I hope teeth are ok now and pain will get better. Make sure you don't tire yourself out. That's why I am not going to London with the gang.
Isn't it great though that the days are feeling brighter (albeit windier!!!) I love summer.
SYA, I don't know if it's true but someone told me that the Grow Wild Seeds do and can take over the garden. Just in case it isn't an urban myth you need to research so wild flowers don't take over your garden. But when I go to places like Chelsea Flower Show the wild garden always looks amazing.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I am having second thoughts about the grow wild seeds, I will look into them a bit more before planting. Thanks for the tip SW.
Today is lovely and sunny at the moment. I am just going to put some washing on. I've checked my online banking and unloaded / reloaded the dishwasher.
I've just realised its the first Saturday of May today so the first local car boot should be today, luckily this one starts at 12 so no need to rush. I will walk there and back and get some much needed exercise.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

I can't wait till the carboots start round here. I love them too. I have some great things from there and most I end up giving away but they are so cheap it doesn't matter. It's nice to look at people's stuff.:o She crawls away in embarrassment. I feel like a peeping tom!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

I love your summary of the month SYA, it really helps you get some perspective. Sounds like you had a great April, all things considered! And massive well done for the weight loss! Even though your poor dishwasher is taking the strain from all those home cooked meals :rotfl:
For emergency fund I would say go for the higher interest. In an emergency you need to be able to access the money quickly and won't care about losing some interest for the withdrawal. The hope is you don't have to touch the money and the interest just keeps coming in
Annual decorating week - I LOVE it!! I may have to pinch that from you. You sound like some kind of DIY goddess. I may have to start PM'ing you with pictures of things I've done wrong and asking you to help me fix it
I read this:The forecast for today does not look good. I am going to take it easy today too !! I am going to potter in my garden (between showers)
as you were going to have multiple showers and wander outside in your towel. What is wrong with me...
And I read this:Roll on my bedroom.
as SW rolling around on her bedroom floor :rotfl:
How's the jaw today SYA?0 -
Have to laugh at your comment SW nosying at peoples stuff - I think that's why I love car boots and DIY / Escape to the Country / type programmes
... and bobobski me wandering round the garden in a towel would certainly scare off the neighbours !! :rotfl:
My jaw was ok after 48 hours thanks, I think part of it was just from having to open my mouth so wideHowever I did eat some grapes yesterday ice cold from the fridge and noticed the tooth was a bit sensitive. Hope that's just a one-off and will stop once the filling has "bedded in"

Breezy here but pretty nice.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
wow its really hot here
I have come into the living room to cool down for a bit  All the windows are open and there is a nice cool breeze.
I put my factor 30 suncream on to protect my scar and walked to the car boot with my friend and bought a nice bracelet 50p then treated us both to an ice-cream from the community centre 40p each and had a sit in the communal gardens. Last of the big spenders me
They had lots of plants on sale in the community centre I bought a Dianthus Pink in a big pot for £2. The said it will be a raspberry pink like a mini carnation and there are loads of flower heads coming on it so should look nice in my raised bed.
I've done a bit of weeding since I got back, only about a metre of "the shrubbery" lol sounds posh but its just lots of different bushes in different shades of green. Its like the fourth bridge, by the time I get to the end I need to start at the beginning again. Its the same with my decorating, I started in the kitchen one year, then did the living room the next year, then the hallway the year after, then my bedroom last year. by the time I do all the jobs I've listed for this year it will be time to start again in the kitchen next year !0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Good Morning, its cloudy and grey here today but not cold. Hopefully it will brighten up later.
I have been out and watered in my dianthus pinks and have moved and watered in the forget-me-not. Hopefully they will both survive ! I don't water my garden, so now its best of british to them lol.
DS is going to his volunteer job soon and I have nothing planned for the day apart from some shredding. I have 2 boxes of paperwork and several carrier bags full on my treadmill which I will need to use once the weather gets too hot for me to walk outside and my ankles swell upNot a very exciting sunday !
