I fear that's asking far to much of a poster who seems to just write random stuff with only the most tenous connection to the thread.

Yes, I think No_2 might be a more appropriate handle for someone who just seems to excrete sh!te all over the place.... ;)

And if you regularly shop at Tesco from April 1 through April 1 2019 you'll earn eight points per £4 spent in store on qualifying transactions, up from five points per £4 of eligible spend.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

Although confusingly if you click on to the next page it says....
From 1 April 2017 to 1 April 2019 we guarantee you will be awarded one point per £1 spent in each card purchase transaction (£1 minimum) within Tesco and one point awarded per £8 spent in each card purchase transaction (£8 minimum) outside Tesco.

Suggest people get a Tesco clubcard credit card and pay the balance off each month in full. I don't see what you get by using your debit cards for any transaction when you get exactly the same with a Tesco credit card.

So what's the advantage of using the credit card?

You keep your money in the Tesco accounts and earn 3%; but as Martin Lewis always says 'you must pay you credit balance in full each month'.

But only for up to two months...unless by "get a Tesco clubcard credit card" you meant one with 0% on purchases? But then if you did mean that, you wouldn't have added "and pay the balance off each month in full".

So the benefit, as you've described, isn't really that significant is it? Even if you'd spent £3K in one go you'd only make yourself a maximum of £14 or so. :)
