Is anyone else fed up with the way things are i.e
sorting our own rubbish - I remember the days when that was the bin mans job so why are we doing some of their job
push bikes on the road holding up the traffic but not having to pay road tax or have insurance or a licence i.e one rule for one type of road user and one for another
jobs becoming more and more pressurised although we have more efficient means of working i.e. computers etc
lately we seem to be doing more of other people's work in our own homes than in the past and yet we busy in our jobs with no lunch breaks
The retirement age always being increased so we work longer into old age although we may live longer we may not have the health to enjoy it.
Why have we allowed these things to happen in our world, and what has happened to quality of life and time to enjoy the world we live in.

push bikes on the road holding up the traffic but not having to pay road tax or have insurance or a licence i.e one rule for one type of road user and one for another It's just a different way of transport that causes no pollution, so no it doesn't
jobs becoming more and more pressurised although we have more efficient means of working i.e. computers etc depends on the job I guess. I don't find this
lately we seem to be doing more of other people's work in our own homes than in the past and yet we busy in our jobs with no lunch breaks I have no idea what you mean by this, but if you're owed a lunch break, don't be afraid to take it, I do, and on busy days I suck it up and have a longer lunch another day
The retirement age always being increased so we work longer into old age although we may live longer we may not have the health to enjoy it. when was the last time it went up? But if it goes up too much, I agree.

The world evolves, nothing stays the same. Some of those things may be personal to you, but may not for most others.
My vent is the rise of 0 hour contracts and people being pressurised into being 'self employed' so the company legally doesn't have to pay them minimum wage, even though they work solely for 1 company (uber, deliveroo, couriers.etc). This doesn't affect me but it's disgraceful.
I'm still stunned about Brexit and Trump and the rise of racism using those 2 things to justify it. (I know not everyone who supported Trump or voted for Brexit is racist, but it's brought the racists out into the open)0 -
I don't pay VED (the cost for my car is £0), does that mean I shouldn't be allowed to drive it on the road?0

Always look on the bright side of life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJUhlRoBL8MYou know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

The bin men have never sorted rubbish. It all got taken and ended up in landfill, poisoning the land and waterways. Causing air pollution, wasting expensive resources. We developed the technology to recycle which it what happens now.
Cyclist are not the only road users who don't pay road tax. I don't either yet I drive a 2litre car
Cyclists are the only ones who cause traffic congestion Try tractors. I'm stuck behind more tractors in a normal day then I am cyclists
My job is quite pressurised yet if it wasn't I wouldn't have a job and as of yet there's no computer who can do my job. I don't get a lunch break because my busy time is everyone else's lunch break, which is why I have a job in the first place. If I didn't like it, I'd move to another job
Don't be whinging about retirement age increasing unless you are prepared for more of you hard earned money be taken to pay for a decent state pension, decent NHS etc. Mind you would be looking at around a 70% tax bracket. Do what most people who want to retire at a sensible age do, make private provision. I myself don't qualify for state pension. Who cares? I've made provision for myself and already at 53 I only work part time
Perhaps living in a consumer driven society has allowed this
Step away from the treadmill. You have that choice0 -

I know that, but I'm not sure that the OP has quite grasped it.0 -
My General (driving) Vents.
Drivers that do not signal
Drivers that talk on the phone whilst driving
Drivers that speed with a "baby on board" sign
Drivers that park in 2 spaces
Drivers that don't know how to use parking spaces but instead think it is ok to obstruct the road by parking directly outside a store front.
Drivers that park in disabled bays without a badge
Drivers that drive at 30 mph in a 40 mph zone
Drivers that stick to the middle lane on the motorway
If you are one of the above you should be ashamed of yourself.0 -
