Have you contacted them & asked to cancel your contract?
Generally it is during the "months notice period" that they make any offers.
You do have to cancel, as there is no gain for them in offering a reduction to someone who has, by not cancelling, agreed to pay full price.
Offers are better, after switch off and you may even decide that you don't really need the service, so save that way.0 -
Last summer I phoned Sky to cancel Sky Sports for the summer, as I always do.
The guy on the phone accidentally cancelled my whole package (even though he wasn't supposed to be able too).
I had it re-instated the same day, half price for the whole year (inc. sports) but had to take a 12 month contract. I suppose this means I am a new customer as opposed to a now 18 year customer...
I was meant to cancel Sports last night, giving my 31 day notice as it would all go back up in price in a month. This morning I received Sky communciation saying my half price offer has been extended by a year (no new contract). Half price inc. sports is cheaper than the variety package full price alone, so it looks like I will be keeping it all anyway.Weight Loss - Start (21st September 2016) 13st 10lbs, Current 10st 10lb (20th August 2017) :j

i have not paid full price for 12 years.
Cancelled online a few weeks ago.
Two offers appeared instantly - 50% off on my email account
60% off via my account on my telly.
Naturally, took the 60& off, which is a new 12 month contract.0 -
Didn't realise you could cancel online thought you had to call them to cancel.0

We just cancelled BB/ Telco and TV. No phone calls or emails at all. Just a letter stating that there was no cost to us for transferring. Honestly we have never been happier. Less repeat plus 1 to watch up!'Just because its on the internet don't believe it 100%'. Abraham Lincoln.

Why didn't you let the service go off, as they still appear to be offering the 75% discount to recent leavers ? (I had the same offers as you, at the end of 2016, taking the 75% after switch off.)0 -

...Some people will not call Sky's bluff because they can't be without for a single day - generally it seems to get a 75% off offer ,one needs to be without service for weeks or even months.:)0 -

No. In my case it was a maximum of two weeks.
It could have been less, but I only knew about the offer when someone on here posted about it being on recent leavers' My Sky pages.0 -
Just phoned to cancel my tv package, i have everything except sports, and have been getting 50% off if i take a new 12 month contract for the last 5 years.
Again i was offered 50% off but i was told in order to unlock my special offer there was a £10 admin fee and was that ok!!! I said no, i was put on hold and when the sky advisor came back i was told she couldn't remove the fee, so i said i would be going ahead with the cancellation. I was put on hold again and once again was told she couldn't remove the charge. I then spent 10 mins on the phone while she went through the cancellation process.
Utter waste of my time because as soon as i put the phone down i went to my account via my sky box and lo and behold there is a 50% off offer for the next 12 months and no mention of a £10 admin fee!!!! lol
Didn't believe for one second that sky were unable to remove that fee or that they couldn't put a £10 credit on my account to cover it!!!
Now wondering if i should have held out for more!!!!0 -
