Joined the £10 per day thread and I am way ahead

Didnt mean way ahead of everyone else - meant way ahead on £10 per day benchmark - sounded awfully big headed and competative!

Don't be daft spendsalot, it doesn't. It shows how committed you are to doing your chosen challenge and becoming debtfree.

dont want to scare you or frighten you off but want to warn that there will come times when you reach a lull in your efforts, be aware they will come but you also push past them and carry on, staying on here and writting daily helps to stay focussed though and there is usually always somone on hand tohelp support you back into the saving mode ...and if you have a wee spare half an hour would you like to do my ironing ?

    Paid £50 off CC#2 from weekly £200
Might have a free hotel room in London to celebrate my birthday! - will tell more if confirmed.

    Tasks
Get all car ins docs together and look into swapping
Call bank to downgrade to a normal account
Get documents together to change home phone to Talk Talk (wont save me money directly but saves the house-account so will benefit me long term.
Call Halifax and find out what happened to cashback that is no longer on statement!
    List 5 things on Ebay!!!

Going to the gym tonight so get out of ironing:j

Will probably be exhausted tomorrow after all this money saving:D

Well you're doing great. I'm having a rubbish week. I went out on Monday because a friend was over from Oz, I went out on Tuesday because a friend was back from Kenya. Yesterday my boyfriend bought me dinner and to thank him I bought drinks in the pub afterwards and today I had promised another friend I'd go to the spa after work. I really need to learn how to say no. Now I'm depressed at my week of failure. Gah. Will do better next week (possibly by the enforcement of not having any actual money (must leave credit cards at home to ensure this). There you can compare yourself against my failure and you'll feel very positive!

oh forgot had lunch in pub because a friend asked me and I was miserable about the other collection of things!!

Esthomizzy - dont worry about the odd week - as long as you get back on track - if you look at the first few pages of this thread - i dont want to beat myself up into getting debt free, just stay on track and do it in a manageable way. Good luck for this week!

Jet34 - know how you feel - i actually did the ironing thursday - but it will probably be another month until i do it again!

    And so to the diary....
    :A
I still have £58 left from this weeks budget.

Changed my house insurance and made £120 in cashback!!! (the policy was cheaper aswell so saving to the "house" was about £100 too:D )

I returned two of the nunchucks (the famous ones that caused confusion on page one) - So also got £35.98 coming into my bank this week.

    And now for the confessional.

OH paid me back £167 that he owed me. It wasnt in my plan, and i spent it.
I had my hair done (an appointment i had cancelled at the beginning of this journey)
I bought a jumper and a vest to go underneath
I bought some things from boots
    And i have £15 left.

I have recorded the overspend in my signature.

    :o
    To redeem....
I will pay it all back over the next two weeks.
I will pay another £50 off CC#1 this week.
I will lsit 2 extra items on ebay.

    Forgiven....?

Well after the disasterous last post I lost A LOT of motivation. But i will keep trudging along so here goes:

    :D
    Sold on ebay £46.74
    Paid off cc#1 £50.00
Paid back from weekly o/spend £50

    :(
Spent ALL of my £200 this week - this is dangerous because if there is a forgotten DD I will get charges.

Havent yet cancelled my old credit cards
Had to order bank statment for mortgage renewal - £10:eek:

    :A
    Tonight:
List on ebay 10 items - punishment!
    Cancel credit cards
    Get new car insurance
Monday and Tuesday are NSD - more out of necessity than angelic behaviour.

    Silver linings:
The figures are going down not up
I am paying off more than I had budgeted for because of the ebaying and cashback activity
Whilst i am thinking about saving money I am not spending without thinking

Till the next time - th..th..thats all folks ;)
