Morning folks and thanks NMLC for the thread. Your job sounds so stressful and having been in a stressful job myself up to retirement you have my sympathy. It is so difficult trying to help people who won't make an effort to help themselves.

The decorating yesterday took it's toll and I am as stiff as a board this morning. My dodgy hip is giving me grief too with all the bending. I still have one wall left to do and could have finished it yesterday if the light had been better. It was so dark and dismal all day it made it hard work. I may leave the last wall until tomorrow as lots of other stuff to do today.

Need to pop down to DB's at some point today for our monthly butchers sausage order. Whilst we are out and about I think I will bring the shopping day forward a day and call in at Aldi on the way back. Then don't need to go out tomorrow.

I have a pan of celery soup on the go so that will cover my lunch and the rest frozen in portions. There's the last bowl of chicken broth in the fridge so that's Mr TA's lunch sorted.

It's my night out with the "girls" tonight, being the first Wed of the month. The usual carvery and wine and putting the world to rights! And of course catching up on all the gossip.

Some of you may remember the tragic end to the life of one of DD's friends in November. She never had a proper funeral as the ex bf (father of her 3 children) only paid for the basic cheapest cremation, with no funeral service. No-one even knew it had happened until afterwards (It's called a Pure apparently) Her children and friends were never given a chance to say goodbye. So DD and friends asked if if he would agree to a Humanist service in memory of her short and sad life and bring the children to say a proper goodbye. That has been arranged for this Saturday and DD and friends are paying for it. What a sad state of affairs it has been.

Sorry for the morbid end to my post. Have a good day if you can and hugs for all the poorlies, sad and worried. DUMPLING thinking of you. Take care all whatever you are doing xx

Editing to say so sorry about your friend CAMELOT. It's so very sad x

Morning :hello:

tiredmum I'd love to get out of here for a while, do you have a spare room for me? I can bring lots of treats and toys for the dogs :D

snoozer I know what you mean about asbestos hysteria. Dad had a scare last year and although I already knew about the dangers, I spent a lot of time reading about asbestosis. Most of it was completely over the top and left you with the impression that you shouldn't even enter a house with artex on the walls, lol.

camelot The restriction date hasn't changed, it's still the 28th feb. I check for updates every day now and I'm always relieved to read the same date.
Sorry about your friend xx I hope today is OK for you x

It's Little Mate's birthday tomorrow. I couldn't find a time where I could get to their house when everyone was in at the same time, tomorrow is no good because they're off out for breakfast then catching a train to the zoo and won't be back til late. So they're going to come to me this morning, we'll be having squash and swiss roll and opening his present. LM wants to play with Scampi and feed him biscuits “but he's only allowed two isn't he, aunty tru?” :D

Lunch with miss tru today, it seems to have become our wednesday thing. It's long and lazy and lasts til about 3pm :D I now have a scraper, it's smaller than the other one so the job is going to take a bit longer but at least I can make a start today. Master tru has said he can put the ceiling boards up tomorrow, he wasn't supposed to start til monday so it's going to be a rush. I wouldn't mind but it was him that broke the scraper and delayed the work in the first place! I had A Plan, I arranged it around other people and they're messing it up, lol.

My condolences Camelot.

Morning all.

Another rubbish nights sleep. Hubby woke me at 2 then it took me ages to go back to sleep. Next thing I know, it's 4 and hubby was moaning about one of the dogs who was scratching at the door to go out. Usually I'm awake before he is when they want to go out but as he'd woke me already and I'd had trouble getting back to sleep, I was fast asleep.

I've got my Grandson this afternoon. He will keep me on my toes.

Onwards and forwards

Have a great day all

Thinking of you Dumpling really hope that your CMHT lady can offer some pratical advice to help you all.

Feel rubbish this morning with a bad headache, problem is I have an opticians appointment and need to go as should have had my eyes tested last November :(
I did get into town yesterday to have my hair done and managed to pick up a black jumper in the sales for £10, can wear it once for the funeral and then send to the CS.
Anyways, better get a shift on as need to get through the traffic, take care folks x

• camelot condolence for your loss ,sudden death is such a shock.
Dumpling hope you can sort things out as you are doing so well.

Good morning chums, cats and dogs here at the moment but fingers crossed it will brighten up later I am off to charlton House this afternoon for a mini meet with Caterina and chums, lots of coffee and nattering I expect.
My DGS has had his moving date brought forward to 22nd February for him and his lovely wife to move to NYC !!! they are coming to my house this sunday morning for brunch, bless him I am pleased he has got his dream job ,but will miss him dreadfully.
Other DGS Ben texted me yesterday to say he is getting on well at Uni and today he will feel like a real student as he is going on an anti-Trump protest march in Norwich. He is such a quiet laid back young man for him to protest about anything is a miracle :) I told him to wrap up well and make sure he was warm and dry (granny's best advice) and not get arrested :):):)
Second youngest DGS Henry is knee deep in revision as he has his GCSE's in May.

Right enough waffle time to get a wriggle on
Have a good day and keep warm and dry if you can
Cheers chums JackieO xx
