    I have just been quoted £154 pa fully comp for a 2005 Mazda MX5 based on 5000 miles a year. I thought that was very reasonable. Not all car insurance is a rip off.
    I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

    Many smaller insurance companies that have fell by the wayside are nothing more than off shoots of much larger organisations in the industry. A few years ago Aviva were paying a fixed figure for a repair wether it was a scratch on a door handle or chassis legs and complete front ends, it started at £1100 a repair then each year it went down until it finished. Obviously some jobs you made money on others like one job recently done was a £11k repair you lost everything plus more. Thankfully that setup has finished, Trouble is when someone goes to buy a car they look at it totally different to when they come to see it after its been repaired and stuff that is non accident related the insurance company tell you to do it because they want the customer to renew their policy and keep them happy.
