Moving house - cancelling Vodafone broadband

Can never understand why people on this money saving forum are so against people looking to save money...
It's a money saving forum, not a 'how can I get out of my legal responsibilities' forum. If there was a legal way to get out of the contract then people would say. The recent Sky price increase thread is one such example.
You seem to be aware of what options are available to you, but Vodafone are not obliged to allow you to leave penalty free (Sorry, but you are wrong on that point, as I posted in the first reply). Attempting to appeal to their better nature, if they have one, will be more productive that trying to state a point that isn't correct. That is only likely to get their backs up and will change the 'may waive' to a 'won't waive'.
Good luck.
P.S. Now TV now do fibre broadband and you can choose a 30 day contract if you so wish.0 -
Was thinking of joining Vodafone they seem to be offering some okay deals. Do they traffic manage? Couldn't find anything on their website about it.0

OP UPDATE
Just to update on this for all the people who jumped on the post gleefully telling me I'd have to pay off the whole contract... Vodafone weren't able to guarantee the same speed as my current address (around 10% slower) so they let me cancel with no charges.1
