Moving house - cancelling Vodafone broadband

I'm currently about 4 months into my 18 month Vodafone fibre broadband contract. I will be moving house soon and I'm pretty sure Vodafone would be able to supply the new property, so it looks like my options are as follows:

1. Take Vodafone broadband with me to the new place and sign up to a fresh 18 month contract.

2. Cancel and pay the early termination fee, which is basically the remaining cost of the contract without VAT.

Vodafone are appaling. Terrible customer service, not allowed to use your own router, etc, etc.

How can I get out of my contract early? Maybe I'm moving back in with my parents for a while. Maybe they live near an exchange which Vodafone don't support... Any tips?

    And if this is the (unlikely) case, then point 1 is a non starter and point 2 is your only option as they will require evidence of your new (presumably fictional?) address. Even then, they only say they 'may waive' any termination charges so it's not cut and dried.

    If you don't want to be with Vodafone, buy the contract out and go with a different ISP on a shorter minimum term.

    The contract will be to supply you at your current address. If you break it by moving, you will be due for the ETC. They may let you port the contract to your new address without paying the ETC. They are very unlikely to just release you from it.

    If you are moving somewhere that they can't supply, then they will waive the early termination fee.

    My post is really asking, what consitututes moving somewhere that they can't supply? What if I was moving into a property that already had braodband? Would they argue that they could fit a second line? What if I was moving somewhere where the broadband came as part of the rent already and I'm not allowed to have a second line fitted?

    I just want to understand all of the hypotheticals.

    Show me an ISP offering fibre on a shorter term..!

    There will be some areas that Vodafone that do not service. You can check by putting the address of the new property into vodafone broadband checker.
    You would have to ask vodafone if they are willing to have a second line installed but you will have to pay for it.
    If you're moving to a property and you agreed to utilise whatever ISP is provided and you can't change/add ISP, then you will simply just terminate and pay off your current contract and ask to cease your line/service and close your account.
    There are some ISP that offers 12 months contract or even rolling monthly contracts. These often are much expensive than what the major ISPs are offering. Such ISP are Zen(12 months), AAISP (12 months), Talktalk (12/18/24 months), BT (12 months), Nowtv (monthly)

    Multiple posts on here would say that is wrong .

    Basics are you owe your existing contract .
    Move and decide to continue with no cancellation fees but new contract .
    If indeed your current ISP do not offer services at the new house then ask would they release you .They dont have to but its worth asking .
    Alternative pay of contract and you are then free to be a new customer with new customer discounts .

    A&A have a standard minimum term of six months, though some services are 12 months. I know this because I use them, no idea what other ISPs offer.
