Decorating while tenants are in the property

I really don't think some people here grasp that it was just a thought I has last night when looking on the photos. I am not sure how many more ways or times I can explain this0

Advised by whom?
A tenancy can only be ended by the tenant or a court not the landlord. A Section 21 is just notice that you might go to court to get an eviction order.
See Ending/Renewing an AST for further information.
I asked someone who deals with tenancy matters. Contract is up end of march we are not renewing it. I was told to serve a section 21. We have a mutual agreement that the tenants can stay on month to month after the notice period. Like we also have one that if they want to leave earlier that is fine0 -

As with most things in life communication is key. The OP needs to engage with their tenant.
'The OP needs to engage with their tenant.' Again it was a passing thought last night. I asked here first before approaching the tenant.0 -

a) agreed to the work
b) asked for a rent reduction to allow work
c) refused to allow work
So long as LL honoured the wishes of the tenant, what's the problem?Hi,
I have not discussed anything with the tenant it was a passing thought last night as I was looking at the pictures.
Someone did mention about rent reduction I said 'unfortunately I can't do anymore' as it is already at a major reduction for the last number of years. However if it came to it then I would have to offer a reductionI really don't think some people here grasp that it was just a thought I has last night when looking on the photos. I don't think you have recognised when someone was taking your side. I never said you had spoken with the tenant, or that you should lower the rent. I was answering your original question, is it acceptable to ask? And then gave a list of possible answers and finished with, so long as you abide by the tenants wishes, what's wrong with asking? It may sometimes seem like I can't spell, I can, I just can't type0 -

Sorry, I am just getting very defensive over this. When you say 'landlord' it is automatically assumed that someone is trying to screw over the tenant in any shape or form. All I asked about was decorating that's was it. To be hit with 'I hope your tenants post on here' to have speculation on a situation they don't know about. Not all landlords are bad! some of us do care dearly about our tenants and their welfare etc etc0 -

So you don't want your tenants to be informed? - I don't understand whats so bad about them posting on here??0 -
Please show me where I said that??? They are free to do as they wish! So please do twist my words to your cause
Im not?
I'm asking you a question, why would you be so offended by someone saying ' I hope your tenants post here' ?
- you can tell it's a question because the sentence ends with a question mark (?).
- it can typically include words such as what, when, why, how , who etc.0 -

My comment was not referencing any impact on the tenant; merely pointing out that the work involved would not be that great. The result being the OP could have them done quickly after the tenants have left.0 -
You posed an idle thought on here, you have received your answers.
Personally I'd be taking some of the suggestions more seriously (rather than being so defensive and assume we are all thinking you are a certain type of LL - and by your defensive answers making yourself look more like that persona) and doing some more 'professional LL' research. You don't even know what a S21 is lol. The majority of people on here do want to help people.
But well, if that person doesn't want to help themselves.., it gets a bit tiresome.0
