enjoy the party, if OH is driving, get squiffy ;) you will enjoy the party more.

Thanks:T. Just saw this advice. Chance would have been a fine thing:(. Alcohol was in very short supply. We were offered a drink on arrival. I asked for wine and was given a very small glassful:eek:. OH opted for beer and he reckons his glass held less than half a pint. Nobody else looked to be drinking until someone asked the host for another one and the host went into another room and brought just the one for the person who asked. No one else was asked if they'd like a fill-up. I've been to things at this couple's home before and awash with alcohol they ain't:(. Plenty of tea offered and nice nibbles but that's it.

After a couple of hours everyone was given a glass of Prosecco to toast the hosts and that was it. We left very early. We'd gone in OH's car and would have tossed for who would drive home when we saw the drink situation but we both suspected it would be like it turned out to be;). We took a nice gift too, expensive plants for their new garden. Cost a fortune at the garden centre although OH paid.

This thread has been buzzing since I was here last early on Sunday afternoon :j. About 3 pages full of posts. Will respond to some of the other posts later.

I got my £3 from receipt hog for amazon and have no uninstalled the app. takes too long to achieve anything worthwhile. I have better things to do then upload receipts to them. I still upload receipts but elsewhere.

Aesop, not sure if you're registered with JKS for ms. I keep getting emails from them listing assignments in totally wrong areas of the country so have never worked for them yet. I think it's one of the companies that you might have told me about.

They have some pre-school/nursery visits in the London area at the moment and I thought they might be of interest to you.

Just been and posted 2 books that were sold on Amazon last night (will claim money when I get it later in week). Also sold one of my remaining eBay listed items this morning and posted that as well (glad I got the notification before I set off with the books as it's a round trip of about 9 miles each time:eek:). Have received payment for that in Paypal, £7.85:j.

Received £1.92 from TCB (last of the big spenders, me;)) and postie brought a £5 Morrisons voucher from Daily Mail rewards. So in total that's £14.77 for the day. Makes up a bit for zilch over the weekend.

Have just seen a tabletop sale on Saturday morning advertised in the local paper and have booked a table:j. Just in time, they only had 3 left. It's a new venue for me so fingers crossed it's a busy one.

    I hope everyone's having a successful day:beer:

    #6. Sell your books/cds/dvds/electronics

If you have a smartphone, install price penguin - it searches more than one site for you to tell you how much they are paying.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.uk.pricepenguin.app&hl=en_GB

    currently on android

Other places you can look at - you can download the apps or do it online. For music magpie go through cashback sites first. And check for voucher codes for other sites.
