Hi arsenal,
My dog is feeling a little better I think. I would too if someone spent £400 on me :rotfl:
This was the money I had planned for our short term goal so all it does is put us back a little but nothing too drastic.
I am happy that none of it has been put onto a CC though :T
Another check up today and the vet says just to carry on with meds and another blood test in a months time. This give me a few weeks to put some extra away towards it.
As for the tablets he's onto us big time. He eats anything but if he gets a slight inkling that there is something hiding in it hes likeso onto plan B whatever that is lol.

Ahhh I love it thanks Tipsarsenalbarnie wrote: »One of mine cost me £800 in investigative X-rays yesterday  Hope the insurance pays up. Poor thing has shoulder problems which are going to end his ball chasing days
£800
I hope your insurance isn't pants like mine was. We live and learn. Hope he gets better real soon.
My 4 legged friend is still a little quiet but the antibiotics are finished now and I have a feeling it was them knocking him out. Also still off his food a bit but fingers crossed he will start to perk up a bit.
Wish I was off my food for about 6 months :rotfl:
I dont really have any debt busting updates. I have sent CCA requests to creditors and still waiting to hear back from them. I feel like im at a standstill at the moment but haven't had any threatening letters or phone calls so im not complaining. I am still waiting for any acknowledgement from BC regarding my token payments that I wrote and told them about. MBNA replied and were fine about it.
Once payday comes again I will be able to pay a little more off my short term goal and build some money back up. Hopefully my dog wont have other plans for it like this time.

Had a very nice weekend and myself and DH decided to do things a little different for a change. We went out and about yesterday nothing expensive or extravagant mind. Today we decided to get the BBQ out instead of me stuck in the kitchen for hours cooking a roast dinner.
We actually worked as a team for once too. We went together to get what we needed. He then tidied the garden and cleaned the BBQ whilst I tidied the house and did the bit of ironing that I had. We were all organised then it poured with rain :rotfl: Typical but it gave us a laugh.
Anyway it was short lived and soon dried up so the BBQ commenced
It made a nice change to spend quality time together rather than the normal nit picking at each other because one or both of us are stressed out about money. Even though I've sat in the garden for most of the day I'm actually shattered but in a nice way.
Just watching Pirates of the Caribbean to end the day. Johnny Depp can help me get to sleep any night. I'm also planning to drag DH to the new Pirates of the Caribbean film that's out at the moment. Our local cinema does tickets for £4 each so again very :money:

Hi all
feeling verytoday my four legged best friend is in the hospital. things are not looking very bright at the moment. He's deteriorated over the past few days and ive resigned myself to the fact that today could be his last
waiting for a dreaded phone call from the vet giving me the prognosis. Sat up all night watching rubbish TV as I couldn't sleep, have the mother of all headaches and feel totally pants.
What will be will be as I will not have him suffer and will make the best decision for him but the thought of my boy not being here is gut wrenching.
sorry for the very depressing post only I cant concentrate on anything. By the end of the day we would have more or less wiped out all of our funds on vet fees but hey ho it is what it is and we will get past that. Our creditors will have to wait a little longer I'm afraid.

There isn't much I can say, so sending hugs... I totally agree about making the best decision for him, but if it comes to that it's so hard for you.
I would make you a cuppa if you were here, and provide paracetemol and a listening ear if wanted. Can you do the cuppa and paracetemol bit for yourself, knowing there's virtual support being offered?
Let us know how things progress, won't you?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hi Cherryfudge and thank you for your words of support.
I have had tea and paracetamol and now just feel shattered. Some people would think it's crazy getting this emotional over a dog but he's like my baby.
Still waiting for the call and I've convinced myself it will be bad news. I can't see him getting any better to be honest, even the vet said he's going downhill  unless there is a miracle.
I've been here before many years ago and got past that. I will do again.
DS has sent me over some money to help towards the costs. He said that dog is everyone's baby. Started me bawling again lol
I will update when I get some news and thanks again

Dogs really are part of the family. I hope you hear soon and the awful waiting time is over.
How sweet of your DS to help out.
Have another cuppa on me. xxI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
