Got back yesterday and needed to turn things round in the van as we are off again next week with the other van friends we occasionally meet. Ironically we called in for coffee with two of them (one in practice as the other was on a work call) on our way home yesterday.

Everyone seems to be having a tough time of it, and one of our group, who we have not seen for a while, has developed an anxiety related illness. Very sad. I don't know if giving up work will help but it is built into their plans now.

That's great to be off again next week!  And in a van, I've always  liked the sound of that.

I am very impressed with all your washing! Mine has made it to the machine - but the machine is ancient and takes about 2.5 hours so I'll probably have forgotten i put it on by then 🙄

Aah, Cheery, when you get a new one, you need one like mine - it plays a cheery little tune when it finishes (we may have been known to 'sing' along!) - it's a good way of noticing it's done.

Definitely feel smug SL - it's always super satisfying when lots of washing has been done. It feel like an achievement

Ours just beeps intermittently but repeatedly for two minutes. If you are in the house, you think you have left the fridge door open...

Followed up yesterday by checking all our bees. All the colonies seem to be bringing in pollen (which means they are feeding, or preparing to feed brood ie eggs/larvae). We checked the mite drop on the colony we were gifted and it was about 6 (over 8 days) so not going to treat now. DH has sold the treatment we bought months ago, covering the cost and postage. Other than that, we added and topped up syrup feeders, 2L each for three, 1 L each for 2 smaller colonies

A quick TT from me this morning in one of the accounts £32.92 to round down to £50 and takes my running total this month up to £101.60 - I've also bought £250 more PB.

This morning so far I have chopped and bagged three large ziplock bags of courgettes, ready to freeze, and cooked a batch of Tromboncino soup - hopefully very similar to courgette soup. That cleared all the squashes from the kitchen counters. I spent an hour yesterday hacking out the going over courgette plant leaves. Only one poured water out of the plant afterwards  :/!

Our DS is coming to do some hedging and pruning with me today - I will pay him. He desperately needs the money. I desperately need the help, having just lost my gardener
