I was hoping that writing about non-deliveries might help and it seems the law of sod rules - just had an email to say the strimmer part is on its way (hooray!) there is plenty to do with it but first we have been asked to look at a colony of bees in a garage roof! It is where a swarm we caught absconded (and they originated in a roof) so hoping nobody mentions that.
We also now have the kit to extract some honey if there is some to spare. We will check them out today.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Too miserable (weather, not us) to check our bees so far this week. Tomorrow might be better. The bees in the roof were a tree bumble bee nest and we suggested they were very lucky to have them and best to leave them as they will reduce come August. He was happy to do so, so all good.
Not sure what is going on with the stock markets but a significant little lift this month. I might check out land for sale locally and see if we can afford any...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Did a bit of money shuffling this morning as we have both received our pensions today - I bought £250 of premium bonds again, instead of having a regular saver.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Not very MSE but I have done my first lateral flow test this morning (negative - well I have been shopping but nothing else for ten days) - in preparation for a hospital appointment. I'm a little nervous to be honest and need to eat something and take pain relief before I go so DH will need to drive me and sit in the car park!
It's a bit gutting because I also broke the repair to my front tooth a week ago and the 111 experience was dreadful. Two days of my life I won't get back and inconsistent advice. I was so relieved my dentist got me in for Wednesday morning, only to have it postponed to yesterday (after I had turned down the hospital appointment that day). The receptionist managed to convey that I was double booked with someone else (who they were giving priority to). Well yesterday morning the dentist was (apparently) no longer available so they offered me next Tuesday but we are away so now Tuesday 20th! For an emergency repair. I fully expect to lose more of my front tooth while I wait. I am sure this is because they have private and NHS at the same practice and NHS is not being prioritised so your switch. I don't want to.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

That all sounds a bit rough. Best of luck with the hospital appointment and boo to the dentist. That is rubbish. I hope the day goes smoothly.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Oh dear SL - what a stressful situation with your tooth! - Hope all works out well once you do get to see him.
I've had such dreadful experiences with NHS dentists, that I switched to a private one near the office a few years ago. Luckily I'm partially covered through dental insurance, but still need to budget every year for out of pocket expenses to cover the difference.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! Poor you regarding the tooth. The 20th is a long time to wait. Can't you say you are in pain with it to get seen faster? X2

SL keep calling and make a nuisance! We're getting beyond a bum deal with dentists around here, every other day someone is trying to find a dentist near me but even the private ones have closed their lists. I'm finally booked for my rescheduled 2020 check up in Oct assuming it doesn't get moved again, so it will be 27 months since my last appointment in July 2019, I feel for anyone trying to get emergency treatment- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
