Exactly, the freshness feels like it would really help. Doing it the way I'm currently doing it, I'm looking back at April 2019, which feels like a lifetime ago!2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Well I just relayed all of that, and he was rather defensive but all remained civil. Apparently he knew he could start in May and did because this year is complicated (part working, part retired) and the pension service people did not incorporate his P60 (!!). Apparently I always nag him and it is always done by about the 27th. I reminded him of his inglorious past where he has driven his uninsured (because) un-MOT'd car around for some weeks and said that is why I still remind him. It was definitely withering that look, but the slight shrug is the physical tic that tells me he knows I am right to do so even when he responds with 🙄🙄🙄
I totally messed up the Morries click and collect for Monday by putting it through for this morning. Apparently Saturday is supposed to be a lay-in even if you are not working. Lots of things missing. I need to print the receipt and check if they honoured the multi purchase (cheese, 2 for £4) even though they subbed something else more expensive for three of them. Also lots of F&V not there yet when hDH picked up at 08.00 (snow), and worst of all, no Greek-style yogurt. He got some cream to substitute!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Two really good things happened yesterday. DS has failed to register with a Dr near his house so is still registered here. Because he works in social care as a support worker with vulnerable adults he was able to email the Dr to be on a list of people to whiz in at short notice and get his vaccine - and he took 2 calls yesterday via me (he has put his mobile number on their system now) because of the snow here. He met some of our neighbours (she is also in social care - a home carer) and both she and her husband were getting theirs. I am guessing some of the over 80s elected not to risk falling. Next week the surgery will be getting the less volatile Oxford vaccine and they are sending clinicians into the homes of those who cannot come in, so he was not queue jumping, just ensuring no waste. I am so relieved I had a little cry with joy.
And the second good thing is that DH asked me for my records of the interest on his accounts (!) and I found it in my bank statements (transfers I made) and he has definitely filed his return, and, best of all, he is due just under £400 back.

Fantastic news on all fronts, SL, a tremendous tada day! And one was serendipity, that DS hadn't registered with a new GP - wonderful that he's had his first jab.2023: the year I get to buy a car6

That is lovely news SL. I was relieved when my DS got his too. FIL has had both doses of the vaccine. He was early in the programme and the PCT decided not to cancel the second dose. My Dad and his wife had theirs this week which was a big relief as Dad was chuntering about not having it. I told him in no uncertain terms he must and for once he has done as he was told
The vaccine hub DS works at is moving on to over 75s next week7 -
Good news on DS getting the vaccine. My mum and stepdad have had both jabs now and my SIL (a social worker who has had pneumonia, endocarditis and sepsis in the past) has had the first of his. We have been told March for DH and I as no underlying health conditions and 60+. Re the tax return I did my mums in July when I was able to get up and visit her and glad I did as my normal November visit to do it had to be cancelled due to lockdown. This year I will be doing asap after April in case things don't go back to normal this year.
Your DH sounds like mine with prevaricating and I totally recommend separate studies. No way could I share with my DH who is the messiest person out there and likes to have twenty projects on the go at one time and takes forever to finish them. Mine is neat, organised and I can put my hand on anything. DD1 and DGD1 always opt to use mine if DD1 here and working from home and DGD1 does home schooling in my study also if she is over here. I suggested she use DHs once and she looked stressed and she is only 5I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
