It has been really interesting, being here so much. We have a big clump of echinops outside the kitchen windows and a big clump of lavender in a large half barrel with witch-hazel - both have been almost exclusively bumble bees (as we have a nest in our pig shed, about 15m away). The honey bees have been sharing the snowberry (Symphoricarpos) and the Russian Sage (perovska) with wasps for the last month. It is a good job there is plenty. Lots of wasps in the porcelainberry (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata)

Been shopping this morning at about 7am - lovely and quiet but the butcher was still shut so we will make do with freezer contents. Money ticking along. Oh dear SL - I just had a dopey moment - saw the link to your debt free diary in your sig & thought that I must have a read of that! clicked only to find myself back in the exact place I already was! - SIGH - must go have a coffee & chase the cobwebs away - you'd not believe I've been up since 6:20 & have been working since 8! - this is why I have a routine & normally drink coffee first! 🤣🤣🤣4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
