i'm seriously debating painting my kitchen cupboard doors to cover some minor dinks, it will be a slow plan (as everything with me is) but its now on a list somewhere to contemplate
@XSpender, our glass hob had been in the kitchen for just over 15 years so it is a discontinued AEG model so making our own was a good solution (reusing the switches and the hot-plates and the metal frame that sits in the recess off February model).Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

DS phoned me yesterday in response to a text querying which evening he intended coming for dinner. He has a cough. I told him he must contact his work immediately and tell them (high risk key worker). They have been testing on site for weeks (and he has been tested as part of that) but they told him to go to a nearby town for an immediate test yesterday afternoon. He should know by Friday. Fingers crossed he is negative.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Love the hob - no idea what the glass one would have looked like, but the stainless steel one looks great
- clever idea to get that done.

Test is negative. Just a cough. Phew (relief here, in no small measure).
@greent the old glass one was dark brown glass and had a decor line and markings to show which control is which plate but very simple. Having broken it three times, we are clearly not to be trusted with decorative stuff! I really hope this one is more resilient. It responds to a wipe with a damp e-cloth and then a bit of kitchen paper (I loath using chemicals if I can avoid). He is a talented industrial designer, although no longer in anger. He has designed an outdoor kitchen for our friends in France with a retractable awning, and an ensuite for some friends.
A Gratitude (TMV!) I felt I must share
The motorcycle club DH belongs to designed, developed and have been producing face shields throughout the period when there was a PPE shortage (not his design) but literally 3D printing the frames around the clock. As things seemed to be winding down they approached the company they got the £6k 3D printer from to enquire about selling it back and when they told them what they had been doing, the supplier insisted on providing them with a 100% refund. I love the people in this Country when things like that happen. The donations from the members that bought the printer and supplies will now be donated to the Air Ambulance Charity near the President.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

That is great news about the 3D printer. It would be great if club members, friends and family hop on to social media to Name and Praise this company.
I would much rather do business with a company that is supportive of their community.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
