Bit of a disaster here yesterday (OK - just dramatic) - I was making up bee hive frames - the smaller size using wooden frames I bought from a cheaper source - they looked really neat and finished (sharp finishing, IYSWIM) - but it turned out this was because they are a much harder pine than the others. Long story short the gimp pin tool slipped and ended up in my thumb. I put it straight in my mouth (as you do in my generation) sort of sucking and biting it until I got to the cold tap and some clean paper. I had to ask DH for help to get steri strips on it. My word it is bruised but OK.
Feeling shaken and a bit pathetic (teary, trembling) I was in the lounge about 20 minutes later when DH called out - he had hit his head on the corner of a cupboard in the van and there was a sizeable split and lots of blood - cue nurse Suffolk! Got it to stop bleeding without shaving his hair off by sort of holding the sides together until it started to clot and stick. Cups of tea, broke out the bourbon biscuits and abandoned dinner plans.
We had egg, chips and beans followed by ice-cream, with bourbon biscuits, chocolate syrup and cream! talk about comfort food! Long hot shower, winter nightie and early night for me!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Your 3 recent incidents are yet further proof that jobs should be avoided...not that Mrs SJ would appreciate that! Good going on the premium bonds. Lets all help out our government finances rather than the banks, until the banks make it worthwhile for us again.
