It's done - still drying last night so baths, rather than showers. Don't know how much that would have cost but no matter, it had a jolly good clean. It wasn't disgusting but with a sliding door there is always the bit around the wheels and the overlapping part that is impossible to get to. My next shower unit will be a simple glass panel with hingesSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

In my parents previous place they did precisely what you've done, afterwards my Mum was fastidious about drying the cubicle after use, she said it made a huge difference.
In their current house they have installed a shower cubicle with a hinged door, a lot easier to keep clean.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

We have a local (within 15 miles) management facility with an incinerator that I have organised a visit and tour of, next month. I have a few questions I am going to pre-notify to them and over on Starmummy's diary I offered to share them. If anyone has other questions, feel free to put them here and I will come up with a final list in a week or two
Questions so far:- understanding what they do and do not incinerate, (and what happens to the rest)
- what the electricity generated is actually used for,
- whether there is any off-set of the energy used to generate electricity vs what is generated before they use the "enough for 30,000 homes" figure
- what are these figures
- what is their catchment area
- do they take into consideration the fuel the lorries use when bringing the refuse to the site
- do we need to wear masks?

Sold my surplus fold-up bed - it has sat in the hall-way upstairs since we moved and at last it has gone. Used FB Marketplace. I know from comments by others that there are lots of time-wasters but the third person who contacted me collected (albeit an hour later than they said). One went quiet when I said they could have it, and the third confessed to pressing the wrong button and sending the message accidentally. Not too bad for a first sale!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'd quite like to know what are the environmental impacts of incineration from the point of view of what chemicals and gases it emits and how these are 'dealt' with.debt consolidated 16/8/18 £9,788.01/£12,618.12(Total debt at LBM 1st Jan '18 c..£19.5k)

Really looking forward to hearing about your trip and your findings... honestly I think I am more excited by this than the forthcoming long haul holiday plans.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

That's a good question - I shall add it to my listReally looking forward to hearing about your trip and your findings... honestly I think I am more excited by this than the forthcoming long haul holiday plans.
Watty!!! I will of course, feed back and I am looking forward to it, but not like the exploring of a long-haul trip. BTW I sort of mentioned doing some on a cargo ship but DH looked a bit horrified. After being gifted 5k of green tomatoes I have made a batch of green tomato [STRIKE]chutney[/STRIKE] sauce this morning, managing to avoid it catching on the pan. Loads more tomatoes to process but I think I will ripen a few on my windowsill bug zapper (the warmth seems to help) and also make green tomato and pickled cucumber relish. To that end I have just pickled the rest of my little yellow cucumbers in pickling vinegar with a few store-cupboard seeds and a bit of caster sugar, ready to make tomorrow. I need to prep some onions to replace the cucumbers with...Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

We need to collect a couple of bits from the nearest Go Outdoors and it is near to an Asda (they are one of the stores that sell clear pickling vinegar, as opposed to the brown stuff in big jars) - I need more pickling supplies and might buy some shallots as mine from the garden were very poorly this year.
Other than that we plan at least one dump run (a bit overwhelmed by garden rubbish) and I must must must get in the van and clean it properly as we are going away the weekend after this.
Sorry, very dull and mundane!
I have been making my crystal Christmas decorations and all my decorative ribbon has arrived - I have 8 coat hangers full of hanging crystals ready to tie ribbons to. Very hard on my finger tips and nails and my hands seem to permanently smell of metal as I keep removing the connecting pins between the strings of crystalsSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
