  • I've had a brilliant week with Prolific, cashed out £17 and I've got around £18 pending - it must be a busy couple of weeks for university research! I'm keeping a tally of everything earned from surveys, cashback etc during 2021 and will post the figures on here at the end of next week. I'd like to start switching banks for the sign up bonuses, but that is a project that will be on hold until we've bought a house because I don't want to do anything that might affect my credit worthiness in the eyes of a lender.

I'm working this week but it is really quiet so taking the opportunity to get some admin and training courses done. I had my booster jab at lunch time, I'm so glad to get it done before Christmas. I think about 60% of people I know have now been able to get their booster, and most of the others have got one booked in the next couple of weeks.
I'm waiting to hear the outcome of this afternoon's meetings and what that means for future restrictions, I really hope that I can still visit my parents on Christmas Eve even if we have to meet outside. At least we are all vaccinated this year, in comparison with no vaccines last year. They had boosters at the beginning of December, and although my booster won't take effect for 10 days, I had COVID within the last 60 days so our immunity should be pretty good - but you can't second guess the virus. It's really hard though, I miss them a lot and I feel that the pandemic has hit my dad much harder as his health conditions mean he is much more isolated. Finger's crossed that our visit can still go ahead in some shape or form.

  • I really hope you are able to continue with your planned time with them GC - I've got fingers crossed for similar!

  • The Amazon gift cards are back on Ipsos I-Say rewards ... feel a bit silly for cashing out with a JL voucher but I'm sure it will be used next year and I always like to cash out as soon as I get to the threshold just in case my points get wiped
  • Well done hanging on through the December pay gap... I'm twitching away too, resisting making extra payments to my cc. You can do it! Such monumental progress on your debts! :-)
  • You are doing so well. I did do my money shuffle early, I just won’t spend the ‘available’ spend money until January. I will feel better when the direct debits have gone out!
    Merry Christmas 🎅🏻

  • Really struggled with not making early payments but the urge has gone off me now that I’m into Christmas properly. Now thinking if I can wait until after New Year I will have whittled down the gap between Dec and Jan paydays even more!

Have a lovely Christmas everyone! 🎄🎄🎄
  • Merry Christmas Georgiana and to all in this diary 🤶🎅🧑‍🎄
