The other, less exciting for others but quite exciting for me, thing that happened today was that I took back two things to W@itrose as 1 thing I had bought in error and the other was a rock solid bag of sugar which I didn't like (bit fussy), they double refunded the sugar! So I got a replacement for free and another item with the refund plus change...zero cost shopping. Pleased me no end! Far too into this complaining lark now!

Super impressive meal planning there - I'm another one who can't do monthly planning - although I am pretty good at "rolling over" things I buy for one meal but won't use the whole of for that, to something else for the following week. So the cauli I bought from Al's this week on the super 6 will get eaten as a vegetable (probably with liver & onions) this week, and the remainder will go into a bake with pasta and cheese sauce next week I expect . It works for me.
Slow cookers - I overcome the need for morning organisation (I don't have any morning organisation so no choice there!) by running mine overnight instead. You can also load them up the night before and then leave set up on a time switch to come on while you're at work of course - If you want the first meal out of it to be ready when you get home from work that's the way forwards. Love mine and wouldn't be without it. :T🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

EH I have heard impressive things about slow cookers and if I was to get one I would probably have to do an overnight thing as I am rather zombie like in the mornings.
The monthly meal planning doesn't come naturally, neither does weekly if I am honest, but was necessary this month and kind of glad I don't have to think about it now for weeks.
Thanks for popping by

So I have decided to join in with the Fly Lady thread to see if that can keep me motivated throughout the week. I used to be really routined but it slipped and I began firefighting at weekends and letting it slowly build up throughout the week.
Don't get me wrong, I would do the dishes, laundry etc but it wasn't organised so never felt on top. I truly believe when my house is tidy, my life is more organised and calm plus my money management is more controlled.
As I have said before this journey isn't just money orientated so its nice to be finally addressing this. The FL bunch seem a like a lovely lot!
All baby steps towards my final goal

I definitely deal with life better when my house is clean and tidy. Chucking stuff out helps immensely, but having those few little routines in place to help keep it all ticking over also really helps.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -
The routine I have got from FL is putting clothes out for the morning, the night before - that REALLY makes a difference to me first thing, particularly on work days. I'm also far better these days about doing washing up before going to bed and things like that. The place isn't immaculate, by any means, but generally speaking it all feels a bit more under control than it used to, and that helps.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
