Do you have links to these cheapest on the market Talk Mobile deals?
They don't even offer the S7 on their website and the S6 is not cheap at £35.00 a month for a 500min/5000text/1GB plan.

As a comparison, mobiles.co.uk are offering the S7 for £10 on EE with 1000 minutes/unlimited texts and 2GB data for £28.99 or unlimited texts/minutes and 5GB data for £30.99 a month.

I presume mobiles.co.uk won't pay referrals to MSE so their links are censored so remove the space in the link to follow it,====0 -
It sounds like you're on a very old plan so it's likely three will put you on a new plan soon anyway. They won't let you stay on that plan forever which it seems you have just presumed.
Also, the Samsung s4 is hardly worth anything. If your insurance is with three you're probably paying them more than the value of the phone. If not you're probably just getting a refurbished phone so once again still paying more than the value of the phone.
You can't afford the phone you want. Just go sim only and buy one of threes budget phones. There are plenty of options and even they are better than your three years old Samsung s4.0 -
Insurance companies record claims centrally, so the scam of an annual claim is soon going to end up in court.
"Go to SIM only and buy a phone, the only problem being i haven't a large disposable income to do such?"
If you do the maths, it's rare to find a "cheap" phone + 24 contract works out cheaper than either (a) keeping your phone, or (b) buying one outright and going SIM only. Even if the sums look good, you are stuck with the network for 2 years and a lot can change in that time.
There are some good SIM only deals at the moment. One is with Virgin, on 30 day rolling, but the deal end on 31st Jan!0
