HSBC is closing these branches in Wales - is your branch affected?

HSBC branches in Wales are closing as part of the banking giant's plans to shut 62 across the UK.

The branches closing in Wales are:

Cardiff (Churchill Way)
Fishguard
Holyhead
Holywell
Knighton
Llanrwst
Maesteg
Narbeth

They have already closed the local one I usually went to in Whitchurch. And, where I bank - in Churchill Way is on the above list - I used to be in St. Mary Street, but that was closed and moved it to Churchill Way!

Albany Road would be horrendous to find anywhere to park, and LLandennis Road is not much better - though at least the opening hours are better than Whitchurch.

I've been with them for just over fifty years, best candidate to move my accounts to so far is the TSB.

I used to use the Whitchurch branch as I'm with First Direct, but I only ever went in once in a blue moon to pay cheques into the account. I suppose it was people like me made HSBC close the branch!

I pay in cheques via the Post Office now, so hopefully that will help keep that open....

They already closed our local branch so Cardigan's our nearest branch now.

yes our Branch in Knighton closes on 19th May - another body blow to our small town. :sad:
