Payment A Day Chapter 18

Morning, £5 to NW for me please. My credit cards are now all paid off and one is in credit by £55 as I had previiously paid a lump sum and they also took the monthly direct debit. The mortgage is my focus now and I'm on a fixed rate of 1.59% till March 2025. I had a look at deals currently available just to see if it would be worthwhile paying a charge to move on to another fixed term deal and everything was over 5%. Everything is getting really tight now which is a worry.
The PAD's here are quite something @LittleMissDetermined and @keedie and @cmd79 with your hundreds to the thieves of bootle 😀

Well done @IndiJonesi, no credit debt is a huge achievement!
My PAD today is £60 to Sainsburys CC, this is a combination of my train travel/car parking for tomorrow as I'm currently coughing away and unable to go into work if I display any symptoms of covid, and some expenses which have been repaid following use of my own car for business purposes.
Thanks

Congratulations @IndiJonesi on paying off the credit cards AND having credit to reclaim. I don't know much about mortgages as I'll never afford to have one, but it sounds like it's a good thing that you've fixed for the next couple of years at a lower rate. I can imagine with all of these changes with the pounds value, and inflation talk that it's scary now to have a mortgage in terms of being able to budget etc.
