Walked out - work going to delay my pay

I find it totally confusing that you claim you are a qualified accountant yet had no idea how income tax works.
I completed my studies a while back, never continued to work within accounts due to pure boredom. Hence the lack of up to date knowledge.
Why would I lie about that? This forum... Jeez.0 -

Because one of the subjects you study is taxation, and you would know it, you can't get qualified without working and proving you can do it, or are you AAT qualified.0

Caught out? Please tell me where I was 'caught out'? More like you should read and not assume.
If as you stated in the OP "I cant afford to have my pay delayed let alone wrong!" then later state you do not need the money apart from "luxuries" it shows that the two points contradict each other as people do not need "luxuries", they may like to have them but are not needed.
It seems to me each time you reply to posts the hole you are digging just gets deeper0 -
I have no interest in what you job is/was. It doesn't matter what qualification the op has.
The question asked was about if his employer could withhold his final wage due to the timing of his resignation.
The answer (imho) is that the employer cannot withhold monies already earned by an employee.
If the employee had to work 'a month in hand' at the beginning of their contract then he should receive all monies owed to him, however, if he worked 'two weeks in hand' at the beginning, then he would be entitled to those two weeks pay and any other monies earned may have to be paid in the following pay date.
Depends on how the first pay was received.

I'm fully aware of the units Ive studied.
Im finished with this now, you all obviously have far too much time on your hands.
Thanks for all your positive input.0 -
If admin would like to delete this post now as its completely irrelevant to my original question, then please do so.
'admin' would NOT like to do so. The deal is that you post on this forum for help and your thread stays up as possible help for others.......This forum... Jeez.
Maybe read a few posts to get a flavour of the forum before posting?Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

And there you have it, the reason you walked out (the 'more to it' part I mentioned earlier?). You have a massive chip on your shoulder (no pun intended...but I'm guessing it jumped out of one of the pans your EMPLOYER reasonably wants you to clean). I'm also going to take it that your supervisor and managers can also see through you.Yes I would rather scrub toilets thank you. Just because your personal choice wouldn't be that, dont assume mine would be. There is nothing more to this than stated.
No one wants the s**t job of washing up all day.
This forum is actually a really friendly place, but that doesn't mean we will tell those seeking advice what they want to hear, every time.0
