2. I've reported you to the Forum Team, so I'll leave any final "judgement" to them.
3. I hope Argos defend and you're the one who lands up with a CCJ, maybe even a trip to a higher court.
1. i dont need to hear anything, I am sharing my own facts for other victims.
2. if i had a sad life to do nothing but post 10,000 posts on a discussion form, i'd be scared of your reporting. Guess what, I'm not! ha ha ha
3. Thanks, but somehow I think theyll be paying up within a few days and I think you know that too.
I dont think any high street retailer wants to see newspaper headlines of bailiffs visiting its store.0 -
Hi
Can you tell me if this works in my case. I ordered a t v in Dec and got sent a dyson. Told I can only have a refund when they have their item back in their depot. I have waited in for 3 whole days of their choosing, 7am - 8pm and no one has ever collected. It never occurred to them I need to be at work! The t v cost more than the dyson. Customer service is dire. My card was declined in currys because Argos won't give me a refund. I can't afford to pay the credit card bill with their extra money on it. Haven't had a to for nearly a month and they don't care. When they email its 7 - 10 working days which is an insult as its their fault. They don't even hold to it. Am absolutely powerless as bought on line.0 -

If I was in your position, if Argos arent responding in a timely manner repeatedly, then I'd contact my credit card company to identify the transaction and tell them you havent received the goods and wish to do a chargeback.
Some info on the Which website about "how do i use chargeback"
There are I believe other rules that apply to responsibility for goods that you didnt order (the Dyson) that you may want to read up on.0 -
Hi
Can you tell me if this works in my case....
I agree with the above.
I would:-
(a) Contact your card issuer to make them aware of the problem. See if the transaction can be held over as "disputed" and be put outside of your on-going balance.
(b) take the item back to an Argos store. They have had ample chance to operate their procedure and have failed.
(c) Consider asking the Credit Card issuer to help resolve (perhaps in conjunction with return to Store).0 -

You are right.
I only hope the Op realises that if this is all made up Argos could be the one suing him.0 -

Are you really incapable of understanding a companies return policy and your statutory rights are two totally separate things?I dont need to prove anything to you. As I have repeatedly said, my post is for the benefit of other victims of Argos returns policy and attempt to evade responsibility for faulty goods.
Here is Argo's return policy, clearly displayed: the item should be unused, in its original packaging and in a re-sellable condition
Did you miss that? Or just not understand it either.0 -
I think your brain isnt smart enough to deal with multiple issues here including a questionable returns policy that can be argued to be impractical and thus unfair or ambiguous.
Two faulty laptops would be extremely poor luck.
Two laptops that were under specified for what the buyer wanted them to do is far more common, but not a fault.
Argos 30 day "change your mind" refund specifically and clearly excludes things like computers, tablets and phones, for them you've got statutory rights, but as said there is faulty and there is not powerful enough.0 -
What was the fault with the laptops?IITYYHTBMAD0

10/10 for effort, is it the school holidays already?
I suggest you get on with your homework rather than trolling Internet forums!0
