Common sense should tell me that they only had 225 machines and the offer was not until the 22nd but when they ran out? Maybe you mean psychic abilities?0

It seems it was. My point is the promotion on the website should have made that clear. It should have said 'Offer available until the 22nd (while stocks last)" Otherwise, common sense tells you that the offer is not limited other than by the date.0 -

There aren't any JL staff on this site then????
The law of averages suggest that there will be some on here, although I've never seen anyone confirm that they are, but even if there are I don't really see what your point is. Are you suggesting that if somebody works for X they will only ever make supportive posts about X? The anecdotal evidence that we see every day from people slagging off their employer rather suggests the opposite!0 -
Common sense should have told you that any retailer normally has limited stocks of the goods that they are selling.Bellabella wrote: »Common sense should tell me that they only had 225 machines and the offer was not until the 22nd but when they ran out? Maybe you mean psychic abilities?
If you went into Tesco because you saw on their website that they had Heinz beans for 20p a tin but when you got into the store you discovered that the offer was so popular that they had sold out, would you complain to the management that they had deceived you?0 -

Yes, if they had specified a date that the offer was available until and didn't say 'while stocks last'!0 -

So if 5000 rather than 225 people ordered you'd expect that to be fulfilled?0 -
Oh dear. You know that members have lost the argument when they resort to this. :rotfl::rotfl:Bellabella wrote: »Looks like JL have a few staff on this site!0 -
Well, folks, we made it to post #4 before this old chestnut got rolled out...Bellabella wrote: »This wasn't a sale! It was a promotion until a specified date. If the sign says till the 22nd, it should be till the 22nd.
They didn't remove the ad when it went out of stock. The promotion remained on the website despite it not being available until I emailed with a complaint.
Looks like JL have a few staff on this site!0 -

You do understand that all goods are only available while stocks last?0
