We have just agreed sale with we buy any car .com for £28,000.00
They are now trying to rescind the contract stating we are a dealership and we can't prove otherwise. We explained that we had bought the car of a friend and we are not a dealership so we couldn't produce an invoice, I even got the friend to sign a letter to prove we had paid him and showed the bank statement to show it had left our own account.
They are now saying they are returning the car even though they have changed ownership and the car is at auction.
we want our monies as agreed in the contract?
Are they allowed to do this
please help

my husbands is the registered keeper, well was until we received confirmation the week he is no longer.
my husband bought the car in September of his business partner, so no invoice as it wasn't a business transaction. we spent some money on the car, wheels etc, I didn't like it as it was too big, we took it to them, they gave us a contract with the sum of 28,00.00 which should have been paid in on Thursday, they then told us because we couldn't prove we weren't car dealers the car would then be returned to us!!! we have a contract we explained all this at the point of the agreement I even provided a bank statement to prove we had bought the car and from who.
I have had confirmation from the dvla to say he is now not he registered keeper.
No car no money.
My husband runs his own business so no wage slips have any connection from the motor trade0 -
