I'm glad you all find this hilarious, its the last time I come on here for advice!

You got advice, you're entitled to a refund or replacement. No one got hurt or injured so I'm not sure what else you're looking for.

On the upside it doesn't sound as if any cute kittens were put in harm's way. :)
...that's further info. that may be perhaps subsequently added?

I'm not "looking" for anything, I was asking for advice which I got, there was no need to take the Pi$$.

Don't always assume that everyone is out to get a payout!!

Completely ignoring rights, most people would deem it reasonable to refund or replace a broken toy if it happened in a short amount of time. You did what was expected, contacted the manufacture. All is good. They might ask questions like did your son repeatedly whack it with a baseball bat or smash it off a wall. If he did it would be less reasonable to expect any kind of recompense.

What was your complaint? If its as basic as the information youve provided youre not offering much in the explanation as to how it broke. I would expect the company to be worried and a look in to further action if it simply fell apart in his hands, if your son had a screwdriver inside it i wouldnt expect them to do much.

A gameboy once cut my forehead. What rights did i have? None because i repeatedly smashed it against my head.

What rights are you looking for?

To be fair the Gameboy probably deserved it, mine was launched accross my bedroom when I lost at a level playing tetris. To this day I hate hearing that music!!

Sure mine was in relation to tetris as well. Definitely deserved it. It spent the next two months under the sofa as i didnt want mum to put 2 and 2 together. "it just shattered honest"

He didn't do anything other than just play with it and the spring came loose in its arm.

Looking at them i struggle to see how a spring inside the mechanism couldve escaped the plastic body, could it have done? If the spring was contained it could not have harmed your son unless he was doing something which probably shouldnt be done (opening the toy) did you have to open/prise things to get in there to feel around?

Do you know that 100%? You never left the room when this 'toy' was 'supervising' your child?
