sorry, im a bit dumb when it comes to phones....

Take your sim out. Switch on phone. Use the * key to get p, w and +.

When you have input the code it will say 'restriction off'. You can then use any sim.

I have a challenge for you ...i have a phone and have tried loads of codes but non of them work, i have had to be refunded money off ebay etc etc. So, if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful

I think you will find that you can enter up to 5 unlock codes and then the phone is locked. This happened with me last year with Nokia 1101 and I took it to a market stall and for £10 (price depended on phone) it was unlocked via cable. This will be the case if you have tried more than 5 codes for the phone, even the correct code will not work if the phone has locked up.
