Protectiveness, being gentlemen (to some extent, walking next to the kerb isn't needed) xd I love a protective guy
Me too.Takes out the bins without being reminded
My hubby doesnt get trusted with the bin as he just chucks it in any old way. I like to strategically place it to maximise space.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Walks and cares for the dogs.
Takes out the bins.
Takes my mum to her hospital out patients appointments
Will change grandchildrens nappies without complaining about the mess/smell etc.
Works hard at his job even though he hates it so that we have a decent standard of living.
Lots of things really, too many to mention, which is why I love him so much.0 -

Adds *a guy who is not a push over and doesn't let women walk all over him*
Yeah me too. If a bloke said he wanted a woman who earned enough so he didn't have to work, or wanted a woman who paid for everything, he'd be considered a lazy scrounger!Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Fixes stuff round the house without having to be asked. I can't express how much it means to me!!!
After going out with blokes that would sit there and watch me struggle with DIY tasks without even offering to help let alone do the job for me there is now no greater aphrodisiac than a man saying 'don't worry luv, I'll take care of that' and then fixing a shelf. :rotfl:LBM-November 2019 - Total Debt £28,000/PAID!0 -
Male input:
My missus caught me crying about something early on in our relationship. It wa a family bereavement, someone I was very close to and still miss today. She always says that was when she knew for absolute certainty that she wanted to spend her life with me. I had grown up in a macho environment and that was an eye-opener for me.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Does some of the emotional labour in terms of running a household. Remembering birthdays and appointments, deciding what's for dinner and making it, arranging a social life. Does his share of the things that need doing without being asked to.
And though the gifts thing seems shallow (and I'm pretty certain fierystormcloud is being tongue in cheek!), it's not about the physical item, it's about providing evidence that he's listened to conversations and knows you as a person. The first time my fiance made me a mix CD based on a throw away comment about the cassette tapes we had in the car when i was a kid I was utterly, utterly charmed. Women are often ignored: proof that you've listened and you've heard them is important.Mortgage
