What a stunning view. Very similar to mine however there is no rape in ours yet this year.

Glad you’ve made a firm decision

Thanks @MissRikkiC and @savingholmes. My favourite crop is wheat. The farmer has grown it twice while we’ve been here. It’s so lovely when the wind blows it, it looks like a sea of gold.

Not much to update on apart from the big news - I returned the air wrap. It just didn’t really work on my hair. For that money, it needed to be amazing. My hairdresser came up with the genius idea of ‘just blow drying with current dryer but on lowest heat‘ to be kind to my hair, which was a bit of a lightbulb moment.

So I feel better about it. I was fretting about the amount of money, if I’m honest. I was a little scared I was slipping back into old ways - making big purchases and justifying them to myself.

I have treated myself to an electric toothbrush though (amazing) and some new perfume so my Good Girl points have been spent on me finally.

Just about over the COVID but still have this vague hangover feeling which is annoying. I also did a fasting day yesterday which was fine. I’m going to try the 5:2 diet again, I had some success with that in the past, and I find it’s easier just to think, ‘right I’m not eating today‘ every now and then than think about every morsel I put in my mouth. Maybe will save some money if I’m only buying meals for 5 dinners instead of 7.

    Happy Easter weekend all

Well done on returning the air wrap. At that price I'd have been looking for perfection too.

Good luck with your diet plans.

Good decision on the Air Wrap - it’s too much money to spend on “it’s OK” isn’t it.  Sorry to hear about the covid thing - and I’m also in that particular club right now. In fairness I’d been saying the clock was ticking since Christmas - that sort of luck can’t run on forever!

I’d definitely go 5 years on the mortgage - it’s incredibly unlikely that interest rates are going to fall again to any extent in that time frame, and far more likely they’ll increase more yet.

    And that view…😍😍😍

I would have done the same with the Air Wrap if it was that disappointing.  You really need a WOW from something that expensive.  I'm glad you got other treats in its place.

    Morning  all
I did reply about a week ago, but my iPad battery died just before I pressed post, and I have been sulking since.
@savingholmes - thanks, I think I was expecting perfection, and was quite disappointed. The diet plans are going okay
    @suffolklass - Thank you
@essexhebridean And I hope the covid thing is all sorted for you now. I’m still struggling to shake it off a little bit. And yes I think it’s much more likely that interest rates will go up rather than down, in fact I think they’ve gone up a little bit since we secured the deal.
@girlatplay. My treat battery all topped up for a while

Will post a list in a bit

Just dropping by to say that I haven’t completely disappeared, but life has been trying, very trying.

Started my new job at the beginning of May, I am not really enjoying it so far, the department is very strange.

But the biggest strain is that my mother is in hospital having developed pneumonia, possibly from the Covid she had in April. She’s been in hospital for around two weeks now. It’s been touch and go, I flew back after a couple of days from my longed-for holiday because we were not quite sure she’d make it. We thought we were losing her, although things seem to be slowly improving now.

So I am here, worried, tattered, desperate for a break i can never have, but here.
