Good things :j
- Night out last night was fab and completely free
- Asked my lovely 80 year old Dad to pick me up and drive me 10 miles home so I didnt pay for a taxi
- My Dad has agreed to host the next family party. That takes the pressure off me somewhat
- I got a lovely compliment at work today. I bumped into someone I worked with in my old job who was looking extremely happy and in better health than I have seen him in years. I aked him if he was happier becuase I had left the office (I was joking of course) and he responded with 'Paws, I absolutely love you!' in a sort of spontaneous, genuine, and fatherly kind of way. Ive had a warm glow all day.
- Worked in other Northern office today - expenses profit.
- Payments are all going out, Big Number is going down
Bad Things :exclamati- A load of electrics have gone off. The fuse box is quite old so we dont really know how to get it back on. i was all for calling a Dad (both our Dads are electrical engineers), but the husband wants to have a go at it himself before we do that. I have 3 working sockets in the kitchen now.
- The cat flap seems to no longer be letting the cats in (its a microchip one). It stopped letting the little one in a while ago, but she hardly wants to go out so not really a problem, but now it wont let the big one in. Tried rebooting etc, so now thinking i should buy a new power adapter. A new catflap is £90 so would prefer not to have to replace.
- Analysing our spends, we need to do something about our entertainment budget. We are averaging a spend of £160 per month (between us). We are quite sociable, and we like seeing our friends, but I would like to get this down to £100. However I dont want to say no to going to the pub etc, as I dont want the husband to lose heart. He's gone to the pub to watch the football with a friend tonight, which is incredibly rare, we nearly always go out together, and I was gritting my teeth as he left. I think I have to suck this up becuase i get taken out for free by work a lot and he doesnt.
- My new ironing board has assaulted me.
Stuck to 100 calories on sweet treats today. Did have bacon sandwich this morning though
Spends - husband probably £15 at the pubDebt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k0
