I did pack my bags though. And was remInded just how annoying I can be because guess what I found? That's right, my cashcard:mad:

I'm glad it turned up though so you are not worrying where it went :)

Enjoy your week - you need a rest after the weekend :rotfl:

Nae chance as it turns out. I'm working in the Southern office and won't be home until 10pm tomorrow :(. Currently sat in my hotel room feeling a bit miserable. The workshop I am on is quite intense so I'm feeling wiped out.

On the bright side, it's payday:j. I've just worked out that we can probably transfer a bit extra into the CF this month plus make all our payments. So by next payday I want to have
    • £1175 in CF
    • Knocked £1400 off the Big Number

We REALLY have to focus to do this.

Excited about seeing some payments come out and seeing £37,xxx instead of £39,xxx:D
    Debt Jan 2017 = £42k
    May 2022 = £15k
  • You are doing really fab Paws :j

Payday is next week for me - not that it makes much difference - in one hand and out the other but for at least things will be heading in the right direction :)

I hope there is no role play in the workshop - hate that :rotfl:

Hope the hotel is nice - do they have a pool or gym?

  • Yay for payday! Enjoy seeing the numbers come down.
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.
  • I love the way names evolve on here. And the way they catch on too. The Old-school MSE'ers shortened mine to EH almost immediately when I was first posting, which was why the reference to my OH as "MrEH" came about - he's that in all sorts of places now! :D

And Yay for payday and knocking bit lumps off totals! :T

I think role playing would have made it more fun! The hotel was probably nice 15 years ago. I don't mind really, there are worse jobs with worse conditions :)

Thank you JoJoC and Bob. I am feeling quite motivated, but I really do need to resist the temptation to aim too high. And then fail. And then give up.

Maybe I should aim for reducing Big Number by only £1k:cool:

Shoot for the moon and land among the stars. Or some other hallmark platitude :) I used to use the stretch concept. Set a target, then set a stretch target. It helped me pay off a lot more as I always wanted to hit the stretch even if it meant living on beans.
