I've been very pleased with this purchase: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Goodmans-Portable-Digital-Radio-Slate/dp/B00FAOCE3C
It works well and is cheap enough to be replaced if DAB+ ever does become necessary. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
I got one of these and it seems fine though it doesn't have DAB+. It also has FM.

Not the cheapest but very happy with https://www.amazon.co.uk/Roberts-Unologic-Digital-Radio-Battery/dp/B002L760W2 as you can put your own rechargeable batteries in there and take the radio to bed, etc. Been using it with cheapie poundland rechargeables for about 3 years now, works a treat.0

I have 2 DAB radios - both have weaker reception than FM.
Both sound rather tinny on default settings so BASS & TREBLE controls are a must for me.
What many people don't realise is that whilst BBC DAB radio is in stereo a lot/most of the independants on DAB are in MONO. This is because they get charged double for 2 channel DAB service and just don't want to pay.
DAB has a better range of channels than FM so its a winner on that basis but I think internet radio is probably the best option now.0 -

DAB radio is pants with its poor bit rates, patchy coverage and most stations transmitting in mono. A WiFi/internet radio is probably the way to go.0
