And as a science teacher, be kind to the technicians as you have NO hope of anything otherwise0

My daughter is a teacher and she phoned me as she walked home on Friday. It was nearly 6pm and she had been in school since 7.30 am. As we were chatting he said she was feeling faint. Then she said, "Thinking about it I haven't had anything to eat today." I don't know when she is expected to contact all the parents who want to speak to her when she hasn't even got time to eat a biscuit, some days she struggles to find time to go to the loo. Her partner confiscates her computer/phone at 9 pm so that she has time before bed without e mails coming in.Sell £1500

As a teacher, quite often we are never near a phone as we're in our classrooms. I find email much easier to respond to. Also, I am personally responsible for 41 learners, who all at sometime or another contact me through our shared Facebook group on top of parents wanting a "quick chat".This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I was given some very good advice by an experienced teacher when I was still training - make sure the caretaker and the office support staff know you appreciate their work.arbrighton wrote: »And as a science teacher, be kind to the technicians as you have NO hope of anything otherwise
Getting in to work at 07:15, I'd make the security chap a coffee - he'd been in an empty building all night - and he was always grateful.
I'd stop and have a quick chat, my colleague would pretend to be on the phone as he entered the building so he wouldn't have to speak to him.
Guess who always managed to get a meeting room or a car parking space for their visitor?0 -

This obsession with sets is unfounded. Set 4 is probably the best place for her after a school move as the atmosphere is more relaxed - it doesn't mean she going to do badly and allows for adjustment to the environment0

From the way the OP writes, I'm also guessing English is not the home language ...Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

If you will forgive a paraphrase of Churchill, "for me this is an assumption one should not begin with"
According to research by Kate Menken, bilingual children "who are able to develop and maintain their home languages in school through bilingual education are likely to outperform their counterparts in English-only programs and experience greater academic success" ("[Dis]Citizenship or Opportunity?" in Language Policies and [Dis]Citizenship, 2013).I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.0 -

All depends on the age group. If handled correctly, there is no reason why we are not able to use the platform all our learners access on a daily basis. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
