Can someone come round and cook me something healthy and tasty for my dinner please
Not me. "Healthy" is for other people .... and all I could offer you would be a 14p can of spaghetti hoops and a couple of slices of bread, or a Fray Bentos balti pie! I've not even got any oven chips.0 -
I have lasagne to feed the five thousand if you fancy it :rotfl:
Oh yes please. BTW have you ever tried Lasagne in a butty? :DNaan yes, bhajis no and CBA making any could rustle up some spicy onions though.....
You've done it now caron..I'm thinking of getting a curry delivered...
The full monty, a prawn madras, spinach bhaji, onion bhajis, naan breads and poppadoms with mango chutney etc :drool: 'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -

Yes its lovely ...Marks and spencer are starting a new range of it next month
now you are talking0 -
Go on you know you're worth it .........:D
In my dreams
That little lot would cost me about £23
Sadly my budget doesn't stretch that far...so if I do, I will have to curb my gluttony a bit and not order it all
Maybe I should stick to beans on toast'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

Just because I'm not motivated to find something "proper" to do, I just googled my closest (not best, in fact it's quite grim) takeaway and price that up....
Prawn madras: £5.70 (£8.50 for King prawn)
Spinach bhaji: £2.95 for others, they don't have spinach
Onion bhaji: £2.20 (listed as a starter)
Naan: Plain naan £2. Others £2.20
Poppadoms: £0.60 each (assuming 2 ordered, that's £1.20)
Mango Chutney: £0.50.
That's £14.55 before you tip the driver! So £15 after a (very generous) tip of 45p.
Free delivery up to 3.5 miles if you order £10 of food.0 -
I'm actually exceedingly set up for CBA Dinners. I consciously shop for "easy CBA items", ensuring I always have a "meal in a tin" available - this week I added two tins of Irish Stew to that shelf.
Right now, with a CBA attitude, I could choose between:
Toast or crumpets. Peanut butter, chocolate spread, jam could go onto toast or crumpets. I've also a little jar of Shipphams Crab Pate (which is what the flavour was the other day I finally realised when I bothered to read the label).
Cheese.
A tin of irish stew, nuked, like a "chunky soup".
Spaghetti hoops (2 cans) or baked beans (7 cans) on toast.
Instant custard.
A tin of sliced peaches.
A tin of pineapple rings.
A tin of rice pudding -> jam or sugar or dark brown sugar await.
A spud, into the magic nuke to be 'baked'. I've even got a tin of chilli con carne that could go onto that, although I'd probably just do cheese as it's easier.
Packs of instant noodles.
I'm right out of eggs and oven chips right now though.
Those are the instant meals, pour/eat, or nuke/eat. Without further faff or effort at all.
With "a tiny bit of effort" I could pull more out of the bag of ideas. I can make a mac cheese in 10 minutes, got the pasta and cheese... could serve that with tomatoes (but that'd mean opening a can and maybe I CBA).0 -

Now that is a bargain PN.
I'd pay that for all that food as there is bound to be some left over for breakfast .
My local Indian is expensive and no others nearby that deliver..it is free. I may have been being generous as I didn't add up the exact cost sso it would probably cost more than £23..
For example, the Prawn (not even king) Madras is £9.50, Saag bhaji £6, Onion bhaji £3.30...etc
I'm erring on the side of beans on toast tbh'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
