I would be interested in finding the cheapest batteries for the 5200. In a quick search I found this at £16.99 inc delivery...am hoping to find cheaper though.

There seems to be a lot of cheap ones on ebay for about £6/7 including postage- most come from US or HK though so don't know what the quality is like.

I have bought several batteries from an ebay seller who is based in the UK & have been very pleased with them. They have got a battery for the 5200 as a 'buy it now' for £8.20 delivered.

Apart from the initial order confirmation, anybody received any further confirmation fom Boots? Do Boots normally keep to their deals after an order is placed and accepted, or do they ever go "astray"?

You are safe only when you get "order has been dispatched" email. I remember that Boots can withhold any placed orders if they out of stock. But Boots is A+ company. Just hold your fingers cross. I did not order any cameras

Can anyone tell me if these offers apply to online only - just went into my local Boots and they have the Coolpix but it is priced at £199. They didn't seem to know if the offer applied in store. Thanks

Thanks for this. I have been looking on ebay and had found a UK seller with 100% feedback and over 14000 ratings with the replacement battery for £7.98

This one has slightly more storage capacity than the one you listed but it's good to have personal feedback.

As for delivery notices.. I also ordered a Minolta Z10 last Friday night and got confirmation yesterday that the order had been dispatched. There have been offers in the past from Boots for which orders have been accepted but they have no stock... So fingers crossed!

Online only! Both the Z10 and 5200 were in my local Boots for the full price (299.99 in the case of the 5200!! - they will never sell any at that price though)
