And you actually believe that this short casual employment at the clerical assistant level - filing and registering - gave you such huge knowledge of the scale of the department's work.
Well you just did it again. That brief experience told you all you need to know about the DWP and lone parents, pensioners, unemployed, sick, disabled, Fraud work, overpayment work, the bereaved, employers, pensioner groups, liaison with local authorities, housing organisations, women's aid and multiple other agencies, training providers, immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers...and so on...
Judging by the very lengthy posts you have just been making it appears you are claiming some expertise in the matter.
Your pickings are getting smaller and smaller, please tell me where I said it made me know EVERYTHING about the system, since reading the very posts which you are picking only the smallest things you can I am saying things are never what they seem,
Thats promoting one single viewpoint
Theres also the double standard that somehow being on benefits for years which should mean they have experience of the system is somehow never valid, but working in a situation with administration means they know more is as said a double standard.
Out of about 7 councils I have dealt with 2 were by far and away the worst, 1 had a single problem, 1 had a problem where they claimed overpayment from many years ago but showed no evidence of it and took money from my DWP payments and basically told me I had to prove I wasn't overpaid and the other 3 had no problems at all but then again therer was nothing that happened that could of had a problem.
The common threads between them and DWP seem to be misplacing of documents, claiming you never handed them in.
Theres a difference between a compromise and taking the """", its not yet been said if its acceptable to wait months all the while being told you never handed ANY documents in during that period, being told your claim is closing or has been closed as YOU never handed in information.
When I left work my first priority was to go straight to council and jobcentre to start a enw claim as I kniw it may be weeks to get things sorted sof if I left it a week, thats a extra week to wait and longer for final wages to last.
Oh and I guess you think that a P45 my friend handed in April one year and by time he signed off in October that was never found is acceptable as well, that because of this he only got £20 a week to live off and he never got the rest of the money after he signed off making him in debt? It also had a knock on effect on his housing benefit as they got their information from the jobcentre about him still working part time.
About the faxes and stuff getting send to them, they instantly got a fax sent from my advisor and faxed back almost instantly sanctioning me, so somehow they did it no problems when it was to their benefit., they had a habit os "not finding" anything over the years that backed me up so I have learned never trust what they say, when I had my New Deal appointment cancelled as advisor was ill and told I couldn't see anyone else so had to wait till she came back then despite turning up at office anyway just in case was turned away then claim was closed for "not attending" and somehow lost the "appeal" for it That was bad administration.
There was too many screw ups over the years and each time it was never their fault, just as the giro situation they accidently sent out a giro despite my record saying don't send one out as unsecure post box.
I really could go on for pages along just about the DWP and write a lot about those 2 bad councils too, but how good could the administration be at the place where THEY cancelled my appointment to apply for housing benefit then sent me a letter saying I never turned up so I didn't get paid, the same one that didnt pay me for 3 months on one occasion and 6 months on another until higher up got involved.
All that is acceptable?
I am exprienced not the expert.0 -
Filing systems however don't change very much...Your pickings are getting smaller and smaller, please tell me where I said it made me know EVERYTHING
It's the length of your comments, saying what should happen and what they do that's wrong together with your comment about you seeing "how it works" that suggests you think you know a lot.
Also, my actual words were "such huge knowledge of the scale of the department's work" and it appears you are claiming some expertise in the matter. Very experienced, knowledgeable experts won't know everythingso I'd hardly say you did.
My comment about knowing everything was in reference to teenagers. I'm fairly sure you are not a teenager.0 -

Because the comments you make that are worthy of a response are reducing.
I didn't say that. Perhaps you imagined it?

Theres some general implications though about things. in a loaded way that either reponse could be used against person saying them.
My memory vague as it was as we are going back 20 years now was when I worked for the council things were processed and that was one of my duties, things would be handed in upstiars, brought downstairs in boxes at end of day and we would sort them, I cannot remember what happened after that though, and I would assume technology having improved hugely sicne then its more computerised but most of my issues were about 10-15 years ago anyway, what has got worse is councils rarely hand out receipts any more, and to be honest I forget to ask for them, though also in the past they would forget to give one and claim its not necessary, I add that to the lost/misplaced document thing as having the receipits proved I handed it in as they outright said when I said I handed stuff in already "do you have proof of it" if I said no they said variations of "we didn't think you did" implying you were lying.
I almost want to write about DWP trying to catch people out as I was sanctioned twice in a year by their tight sticking to rules, for as simple as being handed over 10 application forms shortly before closing time and not being told one application had to be in same day, never mind when I found out this I went to employer and applied direct for same job as closing date was a few days later, though employers were almost as bad, have to stop myself writing a few paragraphs on the time I was told leave or be fired whom charged me around £80 a week rent and paid £3 a hour to get sanctioned as I voluntary left a job, no matter that after tax and rent I was lucky if I had under £10 a week for food and clothing.
So that being the short version imagine the long version
And I write at length due to me having autism, not using that as a argument as thats also why I had problems with DWP/council in years as I couldn't stick up for myself so got messed around.
Even so neither side is innocent, you get some claimaints of any benefits who make no effort, some who make a lot of effort and get messed around be it DWP or the council
Waiting months despite handing in dozens of documents in that timeframe and not a single one being found isn't being reasonable its getting messed around, if they said they had some but not all then you would understand its somewhere as like in the case of the 11 (I think it might of beeen more but that number sticks in my head though I know the final time I went in the guy told me to fill a new one in and I didn't)
Though im not if thats worse than the DWP losing multiple sick notes and closing my claim so no money for 6 months, even if I could get replacments my doctor charged £25 each for them, each time I had to almost beg to get one free as they rejected my appeal.0
