Hi. A quick update. I went back to the bank and asked to speak to the branch bank manager. I explained about the awful private parking company. He didn't want to know. Said it was private. Out of his hands and that there is an address and phone number to speak to someone. It was HSBC. The bank is closing this branch next month. Is it worth emailing a big wig from HSBC?
How do I find out who the landowner is? This VCS company is just mainting the land.

I'm really worried of court action. I cannot sleep for worrying. Tell me it will be okay.....They have photographic evidence which is indesputable so they would claim on that.

You only got this ticket yesterday - so can't be suffering too much sleep deprivation!

It's only a bill that you don't agree to pay, not a crime!

Take the advice already given and calm down, read up the thread you have been directed to, and do nothing till its time to send an appeal.

    And keep on at HSBC!!

You have nothing to worry about. The parking scammers have screwed up, and you have a whole appeal process to go through and win before this would ever get anywhere near a court, which you should win anyway given what you have shown us here.

The photographic evidence IS disputable because it is actually proof that the correct procedure has not been complied with. They have shot themselves in the foot by their actions.

Calm down and think nothing more until and unless you get anything through the post. If that happens, come back here for further help.

I have amended the ticket in the hope that the bits that were omitted will reassure you.

The car park operator has reason to believe that the vehicle is parked in contravention of the advertised terms and conditions that could be a load of legal sounding verbiage that has no means of being enforced other than by taking someone to court and hoping that due to fear or ignorance they will not rebut the case.
As a result a Parking Charge Notice may be issued to the Registered keeper through the post. But please note that we have no knowledge of who the keeper is nor where they reside and that if we obtain that information from the DVLA it will have been obtained contrary to the arrangements made with the DVLA
Log on using the serial number and vehicle registration mark. This will allow you to fill in all the details that we need and save us having to abuse the DVLA process because that might get us disbarred and would allow the keeper to claim about £250 for breach of data protection if they knew.

In any case, we will try to make your life a misery by sending all sorts of debt collection demands that will just about fall short of breaking the law and we hope that you will cave in before we do. In fact we will accept an easy £60 instead of demanding £100 if you cough up quickly.

A member of A parking company took photographs of your car , as he did not place a VALID ticket on your car , they must contact the DVLA and write to you within 14 days
I must disagree. This can only be described as a Notice to Driver 'on-screen' and therefore they must wait 29 days, but they are not...

VCS are writing too soon and this MUST be considered a Notice to Driver, hence the lovely complaints that MUST flood in after people get the VCS letter (NOT BEFORE).

  • I have received a demand for payment from Excel Parking, through myparkingcharge.co.uk, giving me 14 days to pay £160 or they will commence court action.I have not received any previous correspondence from them, no original parking ticket or notifications.
I immediately telephoned their helpline and was informed that they had sent out 2 previous letters and therefore I had lost the chance to pay the original fine of £60 and had lost the right to appeal.
I explained that I had received no letters at all and wished to appeal the charge as i had mitigating circumstances.
They were rude and told me my only recourse is to pay the full amount shown on the letter as I cannot prove that I did not receive the previous letters sent.
what should I do, I am really worried.
