nothing! you have not received a valid ticket from A parking company

a member of A parking company took photographs of your car , as he did not place a VALID ticket on your car , they must contact the DVLA and write to you within 14 days

There is not enough information for you to appeal, which is the normal advice for a windscreen ticket.

Start by reading the NEWBIES thread but wait to see if you get a notice to keeper through the post. You could ask the retailers what they know about these scammers.

Keep the ticket, plastic wallet, and all pictures safe for six years.

Come back to this thread if you get a NTK and need more help. It will interesting to see what happens as there are specific timings for sending out a NTK. They are different depending whether a windscreen ticket was given or not, but as PG has said, this does not count as a valid windscreen ticket from a parking company.

Did you take a picture of the person who stuck the ticket on your car?

Thank you. Am I right in thinking that I have to receive this NTK within 14 days? I'm sorry I've read the newbies thread but I don't understand it one bit. I'm terrified of this.

No I was so shocked that I froze and said "Whats happened, why a ticket?". He was in a uniform dressed like a traffic warden but not.

I went into a bank. Should I speak with them? I doubt they will cancel it.

Thing is, I've used this car park on an evening to eat at a restaurant and visit the pub and been over the 3hours limit they say and received nothing. This was over a year ago. Maybe it has a different rule now.

There is nothing to be terrified about.

If a valid ticket is left on the car or given to the driver whilst the vehicle is stationary, then the parking company must apply for keeper details from the DVLA no sooner than day 28, and the keeper must receive it no later than day, 56 starting from the day after the alleged event, in order to hold the keeper liable.

If there is no valid ticket left on the car or given to the driver, then the parking company must apply for the keeper's details from the DVLA and the keeper must receive it by day 14, starting the day after the alleged event in order to transfer liability to the keeper.

In this instance they have not left a valid "windscreen ticket" therefore must get keeper details from the DVLA within 14 days.

In your case you have a double edged sword. If the get keeper details within 14 days, the keeper says, but that's too soon because there was a windscreen ticket, here it is. (The keeper of course doesn't mention the fact that it isn't valid.)

If however they apply between days 28 and 56, the keeper says, that's too late because there wasn't a valid windscreen ticket, here it is, pointing out that it isn't valid.

    Other appeal points are available.

Sit tight, don't panic, spend a few days reading the Newbies thread a bit at a time. Print out the acronyms as this will help.

parking companies make up their rules , perhaps the ANPR cameras are not working or no planning permission , so man on the ground , he cant do overstays on his own so just walks around looking for minor parking faults

A NTK should be RECEIVED with 14 days from tommorrow

It will be worth telling the bank manager what happened, saying that you think someone may be trying to con people out of money because it isn't a legitimate firm.
Perhaps they are casing the bank.!
