The Ocado delivery has happened - it worked out as £37.45 on food that's including the Valentine meal deal. Also spent £1 on Brussels. So that's me up to £102.64. I will pop into Simply food tomorrow as I have a free £5 spend but other than that I'm pretty stocked up and have a meal plan in place for the rest of the month.
I will need eggs, potatoes and squash and I think I'll get a veg box this Friday so the £150 target looks like a real possibility.
Just shows you what can be done.
    Well done everyone.

    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o
  • DS was a sweetie today so treated him to one of those dunker things and I got a posh pop so that is £1.68 I need to add. Bit of a pointless spend in terms of grocery, but nice to have at the park and we have the funds.

My protein powder order has arrived and the packets are a lot bigger than I expected, it will last months!

Gave DH a fiver for his dinner today as we both slept badly last night and no time to organise ourselves this morning.:o

I was the same then I made a trip out to Waitrose specially to try it...

    TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

    Enjoy :)

We picked it up today. Hoping to hold off eating any until tomorrow but we are both excited to try it. I'm glad to hear it's worth it.

Spent £12.78. Milk, butter, cheese and flour for OH. Reduced cauliflower, 2 punnets reduced strawberries, 2 reduced mangoes and a red cabbage for me. A large pack of crisps and the almond dream ice cream for treats for OH and I for tomorrow.
OH forgot to buy bread so he will buy that tomorrow or Wednesday. He has some in the freezer for toast if he wants that in the mean time. He prefers fresh bread for sandwiches but doesn't mind frozen for toast.

OH and I are having the same thing for dinner today as we did yesterday.

Tofu out from the freezer for tomorrow. The crispy seaweed will be taken out tomorrow morning. OH will take his chinese meal out the freezer some time before we go to bed.

    £76.80/£140.
    £63.20 left.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

I spent 5.50 yesterday on coffee for work and 4 snickers bars for everyone so will add that to my total. NSD planned for today. We don't do all that Valentines thing really so will be a normal night for us

And that'll be a week to go so might just make it. Will need to top up on Catfood on Wednesday and a biggish top up for us on Friday. Working Saturday but will have Monday to do some batch cooking. Might book a table for Sunday lunch at a local farm shop as a friend bought me a voucher so that'd be a free treat day out .

Small spend yesterday in Aldi £5-35, soya milk, broccoli stump, and a 4 pack of chicken legs for the dog, usually get her thighs but none available, will last till weekend then a trip to Lidl and Morries, opposite each other.
Do I need it or just want it.

I have missed off a couple of small purchases from the beginning of my month I need to add on.

I have also decided to increase my budget from £320 to £415. I will be pleased if we achieve this as this is about £200 less than we have been spending but allows for the big protein order and for the bits I will need for half term that I had not included. DS is usually at DMIL and gets fed but he is at a club 2 days and will need a packed lunch and then has a day home with me. I also want to buy a few bits for the weekend away we are having including the last mornings breakfast to avoid spending another £30 on the ferry!

My original budget was more aspirational than achievable but if I can get to £415 I can chip a bit off each month as there are still some savings to be made :)

    £325.84/£415
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75
