My ticket is now £100 and they are offering £60. What to do? i have a POPLA code i could use and fight it and MIGHT get off, or take this and be £40 worse off. I have asked for the terms and conditions of the disclaimer first before i accept.
YOU are taking the &iss with screwfix , to quote your origional post
"I parked at Screwfix on 8th Jan(a sunday), the shutters were half closed and it was out of hours to be open. Upon entrance i saw no signs of parking, it was very dark and saw other people parking their. So, i assumed i could park their(my bad!). Got back to my car roughly 2 hours later and had the sticker on my windowscreen saying "i have breached a contract" by "parked longer than the maximum period permitted". My daughter was very tired(past her bedtime) so i left to come back another night to try get pictures of the signs."
the signage is not screwfix,s its the LANDOWNERS , you wer,nt even a screwfix customer!!
why not ring the ritz hotel up and say that a meal was bad , yup a meal you never had and ask for compo!
during shop opening hours the parking attendent might be a bit "quick" and this is what screwfix are not happy about , but you parked when they were closed and had no intention of using theirc services

I never asked for it, they have offered it in goodwill to pay the ticket. As it has gone up i thought i would ask. Never gave them bad press like others have so why am i taking the mick? I cant find the land owners as the contract between UKPC and the landowner has been hidden in a "confidentially clause". If the signs were noticeable then i wouldnt of parked their, i didnt know i was "entering into a contract". Which is why i am taking this further as an "unfair" ticket. Also, i have used their car park as customer many times and shown them the receipts that i use it. Never once have i even noticed or seen one of the two signs over the two sections of car park.... specially in the dark and neither are lit up!0

if you had bothered to read the thread , the land owner is the university0

You are not taking the mick if they are offering it, IMHO. They clearly hate parking firms and this is a gesture of goodwill.
Trevor Whitehouse's Cat, for Screwfix this is a loss-leader and is peanuts to them but the OP will remember their gesture and may use them in future. Cheap advertising for them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yeah i have messed it up. i didnt read the bit on the letter about the POPLA 28 days, think i have a case where i read something and dont take chunks of it in. Just spoke to BPA as im 2 weeks over and they said POPLA does not have to take the appeal. I will try anyway. I still dont think it is fair that i have to pay when there signs dont comply with the BPA practices. Dont know what to do now. Head in hands moment!0

Try posting the full appeal to POPLA dated two weeks ago...make it a proper full appeal like we encourage, with pictures of signs grabbed from the UKPC webpage.
You won't be able to do this online.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
