UKPC screwfix

Hi,
I received a parking charge notice from UKPC whilst parked outside Screwfix on Clifton Road in Cambridge (CB17AA).
I was unaware of a maximum parking time of 45 minutes, and exceeded my stay during my visit to the store. There was inadequately lit signage and so I was unaware of any parking restrictions in the car park.
I never received a NTK due to changing address around the time of the notice. I have just this week received a letter from DRPL asking for £160.
I tried to contact Screwfix directly to resolve this, and received the following response:
There is a disclaimer that they want me to sign in order to get the £60. This still leaves me £100 out of pocket.
What should I do next? Any help greatly appreciated!

I can confirm that Screwfix are unable to cancel the charge issued by UKPC for you parking outside of the allowed time limit and outside of hours.
I appreciate your comments regarding the signage, however you have parked in the area and Screwfix are not liable for you parking in the area. The onus is on you to ensure that there are no restrictions.
Screwfix are only prepared to offer £60 in full and final settlement."

And did you visit any other neighbouring firms? What do the signs say about leaving site, whose fault is this that the NTK was sent to an old address? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

(You can ignore all correspondence from debt collectors, but ensure that UKPC have your correct address to avoid a ccj by default.)0 -

No, play your cards right and it leaves you £60 better off. Read this
- UKPC are former clampers who have been involved in quite a number of sordid scams, for example
Hull Trading Standards took them to court on 15 counts of fraud. UKPC won all but one, but only because they had a better lawyer, a Q.C. If I recall correctly

They were bested by a Winchester barrister

They were involved in a large scale scam which resulted in a DVLA suspension

Ps: land owned by university , pathetic and non compliant signage , screwfix have nit offered £60 because you spent £2.99 on a packet of screws , its for another reason
accept the £60 as a "full and final" - offer that they accept that you were on land they lease , and the signage relates to the road and general areas , not screwfix property
take the £60 , tell UKPC to do one , and you will see them in court , where they will have to produce a site map of land under their controlSave a Rachael

Thanks guys.
How should I ensure that the Ukpc have the correct address without acknowledging the parking ticket (or are we past that stage now)?
Is it UKPc or DRPL that would send the letter before court? DRPL have my correct address.
I was parked there for longer than 45 mins and slightly after closing time.
The vehicle was registered at my old address.0 -
if the car was registered to your old address , DVLA will give THAT info , have you done mail fowarding or are you able to collect mail.
please answer above , before we move on.Save a Rachael

the royal mail mail forwarding has long expired, unfortunately it was some time before I updated my vehicle address. I can potentially collect mail from previous address, but it's not convenient.0

A LBA and court correspondence would be initiated by the PPC not the debt collector (ignore everything from DRP!)0 -
ukpc need to be informed of the new address , otherwise a claim may be started and a default CCJ issued
