02 refurb iphone 4 complaint
Hi all,
I wish to express how deeply unhappy and dissatisfied I am with the service I have received from O2 regarding the iphone 4 refurb I purchased. This phone was purchased as a Birthday present for my mother whose birthday was 31st December, even though the phone was bought on end of October and has a 30 day warranty the phone wasn't opened until 31st December and was completely dead, I was sold a refurb phone by their online website that was already broke and because it wasn't opened till 31st December O2 are now trying to charge me £129.99 to repair the phone which I find highly derisory. O2 as a company which makes over a billion in revenue I'm sure O2 can either fix this for free or give me a full refund as a goodwill gesture or face losing a customer for life, please advise?

No such thing as a 30 day warranty. Quote sale of goods act at them. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

True, it seems not even o2 agree with the OP.If your device develops a fault within 30 days, we'll either give you a brand new replacement or your money back. It’s up to you. If it’s been more than 30 days, we'll try to get it fixed for you. You might have to pay in some cases, but we'll let you know beforehand.

The lowest warranty offered appears to be 6 months for their lowest category.Perfectly Fine
Perfectly Fine phones have been a bit more loved, but are still working well.
There’s no cracks on the screen
They might have superficial scratches on the back, sides and screen
There will be no more than five deep scratches or chips up to 2mm in length
All data has been security wiped
And you'll get a 6 month warranty

Sure it is the phone? I bought a refurb cheapo from 02, but mine was only £1.99 not same price as yours. However the point is that phone was not activated until I topped up o2 sim
My phone had a note in explaining this, maybe yours never did?
Have you activated the sim? Tried it another phone perhaps?Gardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -
