Today there is a big sign in woodgreen on a big double shop front declaring Foxtons is opening a branch.
Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.

It is quite diverting though to note how, to crash trolls, the really big indicator that the crash is finally here is Something. And then Something fails to oblige, so it becomes Something Else. And then Something Else fails to oblige, so it becomes Something Else Again.
The number of Foxton's branches is just one of those failed indicators, along with Basel III, interest rates, Section 24, etc, etc, etc.....0 -
Interesting programme all about the psychology of money, all the way from extremely salubrious Woodgreen shopping centre.

Crashy, get listening, it talks about loss aversion.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -
As salubrious as Wood Green is, the Victorian / Edwardian houses around there are lovely and Bowes Park / Alexandra Palace are close by, very desirable areas!0

People who can't afford Wood Green tend to buy in Highgate, Hamstead and Mayfair.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
If you ever manage to buy the crap towns book, there is a great discussion about just this in the 'crouch end' section. It suggests that crouch enders always declare the joy that wood green is just up the road as if they are referring to the south downs.
Mainly because of the benefit of having every cheap consumable known to man at your finger tips.
Funny as hell if you are a local because they really do.
Its a bit unfair to put crouch end in the top 50 crap towns but If it will stop them bleating on about Bob Dylan, then all good.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

I sometimes read that silly hpc forum and often an index or piece of news will show up saying house prices have gone up a little and one of the slightly more critical among them will ask 'are we the wrong ones?' Before a dozen will jump in explaining in two dozen ways why they are right and it can't be sustained. I assume the same thing has been playing out each month for the last 20 years yet they still hold onto the notion that a collective fringe group on some silly forum have a massive insight into markets that will allow them to live long and prosper.

They ban all new comers which question their reasoning so they have no chance for a ballanced debate, they banned me so quickly it was comical.
They also warehouse bearish threads into the anecdotal section.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0
